Hey pal, you should definitely apply. They don't care about major and there are tons of different areas you can work in: recreation, resorts, attractions, custodial, food, etc. I myself did not apply for a costume job as those require auditions in addition to the normal application/interview process.

Any other questions, feel free to PM me!
#36 - How do you get a job there. Is it an internship or something?  [+] (1 new reply) 02/16/2015 on It would be fun 0

Internship yes

Don't know much else, haven't really looked into it

Apply at their website, you can fill in a CV and motivation letter and whatever other files you'd like to add there.

The average profile they're looking for in Paris is someone who speaks AT LEAST two European languages with one of them being English. However, if you speak French and another language, you're more likely to get a job

If they keep you from all the online candidates, you get to go to an interview where two people go in at the same time. Rest assured, it's not to through the both of you in the arena and fight for a job, it's just a lot quicker doing two at the same time

If you don't live in France, they have recruitment sessions all over Europe including Spain, the Netherlands, the UK, Estonia, Finland, and a bunch of other countries, look up your local Disney recruitment truck!

You can get part time jobs there but they're more for longer contracts (students during the year usually get a 16 hour contract just for the weekends)

Generally, if you're going there for fun, you want to go there during the holidays (summer holidays have got the most nationalities hurdled up in the Disney residences). You'll get a full time job (35 hours per week), fairly cheap housing (285€ which is nothing considering you're 30 minutes away from Paris) but you will have to share it with a roommate

You get 80% of your public transport ticket paid back for by the company (so you'll just pay 6€ a month instead of 30)

Ask away for anymore questions

I worked at Ticketing, which we liked to think of as the elite of the summer jobbers since we got paid a little more than the rest. You have to speak English, French and at least a third European language to get in that team though
#60 - ratstroke (02/16/2015) [-]
Thanks for the long reply, I happen to speak german, english, spanish and very little french, altho I have been practicing more recently. Do you think its necesarry to have a good understanding of french? If it isnt so important, what do you think I could work at what department ?

And from what youre saying it sounds like it could be really fun, ill think about it.
User avatar #64 - graboidzero (02/16/2015) [-]
Also, minimum salary in France is around 1400 euro bruto so around 1100 after taxes of which 300 go to housing so you have to be sure you're comfortable with 800 euros a month

Of course, some people may or may not have found a way to get some extra money on the sides... but that's the stuff that'll get you fired and I'[ll make a green text about it some day
User avatar #63 - graboidzero (02/16/2015) [-]
Well, I know plenty of people who barely spoke French and still got jobs so I'm sure that if you understand basic French and speak 3 other languages, you'll be fine

You could apply for Ticketing but I can't guarantee you'll get a job there though since most of your guests will be French. I have a German friend who speaks German, English a good bit of French and a fair bit of mandarin who got to work in attractions so in the end, it's a question of where people are needed I guess

If those three languages you speak are fluent, there's no doubt you'll get a job, I'm sure of it! Are you 18 or older?
#66 - ratstroke (02/17/2015) [-]
Yeah im 18. The problem for me currently is that Id love to just fucking go next week, but in march and april i need to go to the uk to audition at universities for acting. I would even cancel that but Im kind too far in it and have paid more than 50 pounds per audition, and when you have 9 its fucking way too much.

800 euros sounds like FUCK YEA. As i said, id go in a heartbeat.
Im really interested in what you did tho, like pm me if you wanna keep it private but I HAVE TO KNOW.

Ill sit on the idea a little bit and see if i can maybe work in the summer for a month before i go do a little bit of interrail.

About the green and the off days, it sounds really awesome, youve sold me already btw.

How old are you? Where are you from? I really wanna talk more to you so if you want just answer in a pm or here idm.

Thanks a bunch bro

Also : most jobs don't have you be a character at all!

During the summer, there are 14.000 employees crammed inside the park so odds are you'll be working at attractions, in restaurants, guest flow, cleaning, ticketing, hotels and the ever popular bar jobs at the Disney village which should NEVER be underestimated because that's where you get to give girls, including guests and employees, drinks
#61 - ratstroke (02/16/2015) [-]
bar tending at disney.
If i could only buy some weed in paris it would be golden.

Do workers ever get to go on the rides too? Do they get passes or something since It would suck to work at disney and have to wait 1 hour per ride.
User avatar #62 - graboidzero (02/16/2015) [-]
If you want green you'll find it, I know I had some every now and then... Just don't smoke it until after the pee test. They say they don't look for THC but I'm not gonna believe that

You get unlimited access to the parks so you can go after work or on your days off after two weeks of continuous rides you'll get sick of it

You don't really get to skip lines unless you know whoever is working at the fastpass lane but even then it's dodgy...

It's about loving yourself first, you're right.

But dealing with failure is really not pleasant at all. And rejection is sort of failure.

Why do people fall for other people knowing that there are no rational chances of success? I mean, fuck my brain, is my brain autistic or some shit? Like why do I keep feeling this way when I KNOW that there’s no fucking way on earth I’ll get anything out of nothing. Fucking brains man, how do they even work?

Is getting a hold of your emotions and dealing with your brain being an insane doom-machine part of growing up and maturing or something? I can only guess.

But yeah, when everything is actually fine, when you have food and shelter and nobody is hindering your freedom, really, there’s no point in whining and being a crybaby just because you’re a lonely cunt.

Everything is good. Enjoy life, you dumbfuck!

Still hurts to fail though.
