 If people actually understood how to adhere to the "eye for an eye" policy, then the only way the world would be left blind is if everyone was an asshole. Breaking up with her seemed like a perfectly valid punishment. If they were living together, and he'd kicked the lady out, that would have been great too. Being genuinely dishonest and an all around asshole isn't going to teach her a lesson. It will ruin her day and make her think the guy is an asshole, and that she's in the right. And then she, being self-righteous in the matter, will commit some vengeful dickery herself. And then he'll do the same and so forth. Obviously, form our perspective the guy's right. But the girl thinks SHE's right. Better to not reinforce that belief.  But three lefts make a right, so three wrongs should make a right as well, right? | ||
