I should watch Clone Wars at some point. The only stuff related to that which I've seen was the movie and probably one episode that wasn't so great.

Movie and season 1-2 were literally made for children and are therefore trash, mind you. Season 3-6 are great, and some episodes are a whole lot better than the prequels in my opinion (not that the prequels are very good to begin with). All in all, those seasons tell the story of Anakin's fall to the dark side a lot better than the movies ever managed.

Probably, yeah - but they also did the "age the show with your audience thing", which is the same as the Harry Potter movies did. The show becomes thematically more dark and mature as time goes on.

Its useful if you go old movie style with your saber fighting, using it like a claymore. If you wanted to use it like in the prequels, the crossguards would get in the way of all the loose grip spinning action.

It probably has the same material that is made for Vibroblades. It was created so that soldiers could (maybe) fend themselves against Jedi, or Sith.

A Lightsaber itself is not all-powerful, it's just a supremely hot cutting tool. Anything with an incredible resistance to heat is able to hold it at bay.

yeap, plated with duranium. Duranium can take a glance of a lightsaber..but it cannot completely withstand it. With a few hits the saber is through...but then again the IG-100 was build on agility and superhuman acrobatics and movements rather then full on face tanking...there where other droids designed for that.

Uh, no it's not. There's nothing simulated, that's one of the problems with lightsaber combat. The plasma blade is weightless, which is why a lightsaber is so weird to handle. There's not even any benefit to simulating any weight, it would just be harder to handle

If it was completely weightless, it would be extraordinarily easy to knock out of your hand. Just as well, nothing would prevent Jedi from getting massively wide or long Lightsabers.

The REASON why it's weighted is for what you just said, to compensate for the hilt, to add power to attacks, to keep it stable, and to overpower the opponents lightsabers. That's why you see so many different variations; two handed, one handed, duelist, etc. All of them are designed with different forms of combat in mind, and likewise that is why physically stronger Jedi/Sith have larger and longer lightsabers.

A lightsaber hilt weighs about 1-2kg and that's it. You can't artificially add weight to it, neither to the blade.

The reason you can't just get a ridiculously large lightsabers is they have a finite energy storage and the bigger the blade the more energy it needs. Also the bigger the blade the easier it is to hurt yourself with it

Also, it's nearly unheard of for a Jedi to hurt themselves with their own Lightsaber. Their sixth sense and attunement to the force prevents them from flinging it around where it might hit themselves.

There's nothing about simulating weight there. The gyroscopic effect of the plasma is something entirely different than it feeling like an actual blade

Did that take an incredible amount of precision and knowledge? Yes, but that's why Jedi have the 6th sense of theirs.

The ability to attach them is an afterthought to the original design, composed of another material; like adhering two metal blades with a plastic grip.

His lightsaber crystal is actually unstable that's why he needs to vent it out of the sides, he just uses it as a hilt as a bonus.
