I wouldn't be too upset as long as it looks better than the games released at 60fps, and as long as it doesn't stutter below 30fps at all. But it's strange because the ones that are at 60fps look fantastic, but it could be because they focus more on lighting (Doom/Black Ops) or cell shading (BL2) instead of multiple objects being rendered with HD textures.

Once you experience 120+ FPS 30 FPS just becomes awful, 60 FPS should've been the standard years ago.

fair enough... I would agree that Android suffers from that issue.

Though I'm probably going to end up sticking with my Lumia 800-something due to budjet reasons.

Doom, Black Ops 3 and Borderlands 2/Pre-Sequel had 1080 60fps. But some games like Dark Souls 3, Bloodborne and Fallout 4 are capped at 30fps since they're more demanding.
User avatar
#34 - nathanbiggs (07/05/2016) [-]
Doom/Blops3/Borderlands are not made by Sony, notice how pretty much every exclusive is 30 FPS, there's no reason to believe that this will end with the Neo, espeically with multiple devs saying they're either aiming for or chosen 30 over 60. You may see more multiplats at 60, but exclusives will stay 30.

Apple "quality" is phones that bend against your thigh, it's corners that shitreck the whole system at the slightest nudge, it's heat death waiting to happen, it's thermal paste shorting out your motherboard, it's soldering the RAM so it can't be replaced. It's the sloppyness of sleep deprived suicidal foxcon workers.

Apple "quality" is a badge of shame.

Never had an issue with my iPhone 5 after 3 years of usage, and haven't heard about the "bendgate" issue since the launch of the original 6 and 6+. Who the fuck actually replaces RAM on a smartphone? This is the first time I've ever heard of anyone doing that. And pretty much any big name phone (Samsung, Apple, LG, etc.) is going to get fucked from a drop, hell I had to my Edge+ screen replaced once because my belt buckle fell on it and shattered the bottom corner of the screen. Seems like you have an issue with smartphones as a whole, not just Apple.
#32 - yoshtar (07/05/2016) [-]
I still hold that Apple desktops are way overpriced for the power you get out of them, and for the downside of not being able to replace/repair/upgrade parts without buying the whole thing all over again.

Mobile products, yeah... you've got a point.
Windows phones are... kinda shit, but Nokia smartphones still hold up to the legacy of the brick. I've personally dropped mine a couple of times on tiles and concrete pavers and it's just shrugged off the punishment. Good for a klutz like me, and still serviceable as a phone and a PDA. A 'close enough' for those on a budjet
I would argue that Android is the Iphone's biggest competitor for a good reason though, and the two are very much comparable when you consider things like the Samsung Galaxy series.
overall I trust Google way more than Apple.

The biggest repulsor for me is the stigma... I don't know if it's died down any with Hipster-types who MUST have the latest Iphone or else...

Windows phones are fucking garbage. the OS is so shit and constricting.

Also the app store is trash. They're also not durable at all.

Well, I can't bloody afford another phone, and it lets me call people, read shit online and use an app connected to my bank to see if I have money in my account.

well, yeah.

my old one was broken, this one came as a gift from a friend.
and I'm dirt-poor and broke half the time, things like phones don't fall into the budget.

It works, and so far I haven't needed to go rooting around and installing a crapload of apps, or attempted to try anyhting really tecchie.
What do you do with your iPhone or Android that you couldn't possibly live without, that you can't do on a Windows Phone?

I used apps for socializing. Most of which the Windows Marketplace doesn't have.

I also play games when i'm traveling, which the Windows Phone has none of.

Mind you, this was around 3 years ago. No idea if the marketplace has picked up. But it turned me away from the Windows Phone for life.

ah, see, I got really bored of the shitty facebook-quality games phones tend to have on offer, and the most social I've been online is private-messages on Fanfiction.net .
I mostly use mine to listen to music and read fanfics on the browser... and I don't really need much more from it.

as I said, I have dropped it a few times, and Nokia apparently still build them to last... though maybe not quite up to the status of the legendary Nokia Brick, I haven't ever used a cover on it either.
I'm told Nokia phones work good as 'work' phones for businesses. If you're not after games or social media, like I am, it's perfectly serviceable.

I agree with the desktop comment, I'd never buy an iMac or anything like it.

I've owned 2 Samsung phones (Galaxy S1 and a Galaxy S6 Edge+), and one iPhone (5), something about the Samsung phone feels lower quality, I know for a fact that this Edge+ will be my last Samsung phone. I feel like the only true competitor to Apple on the Android side are the Nexus/Motorola lines, everyone else feels the need to bloat up their phones with proprietary shitty software that works/looks worse than the Google version. Then you have the carrier bloat on top of the manufacturer bloat, on the Nexus/Motorola/Apple phones you don't really have to worry about that as much because you're getting the base version of Android/iOS, plus you don't have to wait for your manufacturer/carrier to bloat up a new update before sending it out ( I legitimately just got Android 6.0 on my AT&T S6 Edge+, almost 9 months post launch). On the laptop side of things, there really isn't a better laptop than the 13 inch rMBP, the new Dell XPS comes close but doesn't hit the mark.

99% of the market doesn't buy mobile products for their power, if you want a powerful computer you build a desktop. In terms of build quality there are very few products that can match the standard set by Apple.
