Faith = trustworthiness?

Faith in something that is trustworthy. Listen champ, what I consider evidence, and what you consider evidence, are apparently very different. So drop it.

Trustworthy? Really? How can I know that it's God who's trustworthy and not the story whom is UNtrustworthy?

If I take a gun, point it at the back of your head and say "I have 3 eyes and if you don't solemnly believe it, I will make you burn every day in the next who-knows-how-many-millenniums. Btw, I can read your mind", would you see it as a choice?

Obviously I would not believe you because you have not proven time and again to be an unchanging and perfectly trustworthy being through physical and spiritual evidence. (I wrote a very long paragraph with further explanation but or some reason it did not post correctly...)

Christianity and it's core doctrine have never been edited or revised, except maybe for irrelevant, small legalistic principles which should never have been there anyway...:)

Well, I was trying not be offensive, and everyone will probably take this that way but: It's your choice. Everyone bitches that "God isn't fair" but the truth is; the choice is yours. I'm not saying that because I think I am better than you in any way, I am saying that because I feel a need to defend what I believe; are we not all entitled to that?
