Here are just some suggestions.
Don't make it emotional at all, people hate that.
Have lots of references to the fact that it's an independent film.
Have them meet the KKK at one point.

Its a comedy so we dont have emotion we hav e two guys who pride themselves on being butch, and there is a scene when they break the forth wall when one says "i really thought that gas station was gonna blow up" and the other says "nah we didnt have the money"

Well It gets a lot more intricate but obviously revealing the whole plot would be a mistake on my part...

It sounds like a good idea. I can't donate, but I do have some advice as far as raising money for the shoot.

Perhaps give different benefits for donating. What you have now is good, but maybe add some more mid-level rewards. Like a name in the credits of the short film as a thanks for donating (this should be done for all contributors to show their involvement).

Also, provide a trailer for the movie. Even though you don't have all the materials you need ready, make a trailer with what you do have readily available. It will convince people that you are working on a movie and not just taking money.

I also enjoy filmmaking.

That was in the Fifth season. In the sixth she goes to Japan to save 50,000 lives from this Japanese Hitler type guy. And has her self killed so she can be in spirit form. Sad thing is, was a short hobit looking man that did it. She had to kill the guy that had all their souls trapped the evil one. At the end of the episode Gabrielle tries to bring Xena back to life and Xena tells her (in spirit form) that this is what her journey was for. To cleanse herself from her evils. And that last mission is what done the rest. So she told Gabrielle that she wanted to die. You get to see a side of Gabrielle you don't usually see. She becomes Xena in a way. Xena finally teaches her the nerve trick. But it sad cuz you see Xena fade off in the sunrise.
