Alright, you tell me what the perceptive difference between 320kbps and 192kbps is.

I have here, from the CD, a 320kbps CBR version of this song puu.sh/8stCq.mp3
Taken from a Live Studio album.

Now 192kbps VBR puu.sh/8stFM.mp3

As a man who likes his music to have decent quality, I've long since abandoned the 320kbps standard--it's just not justifiably better.

Wanna see something freaky?

64kbps AAC puu.sh/8stRB.m4a

Still sounds good, eh?

It's not until I push it to the absolute fucking limit that it comes to the point you can tell outright that it's low quality.

48kbps WMA puu.sh/8stYx.wma

I can honestly say I hear a difference, not with my headphones/earphones but at high volume from my speaker system I can definitely hear the difference between 192kbps and the higher qualities. Anything above 192kbps and I can't distinguish any differences... Usually.

By postdubstep do you mean the progressive dubstep like bassnectar or the fusion stuff like Abandon All Ships or Modestep? All of which have a few really amazing songs.

Never heard of that, but yeah I don't listen to much of the filthy dubstep. Some of it I like but not all of it.

Alot of very specified sub-genre categories of dubstep (psychadelic male vocal chillstep, acid female vocal folkstep, stuff like that and I hate alot of songs that are slightly different than ones I love); progressive rap; recently I'm making a niche in my prefered type of rock music and metal.
User avatar #204 - naadrebel (01/05/2014) [-]
well, left the "dubstep" scene a while ago, when it became more filthier and filthier. Now i listen a lot to underground and instrumental hip hop, and i also like the whole "brainfeeder scene"
