Bringing people to space and utilizing the resources in our own Solar System would herald the beginnings of Space Frontier Era. We would have more resources than we could ever want. Our population would finally exceed Earth's limit, spreading across planets in the system.

Many social issues would pale in comparison of this massive project to ensure humanity's place in the galaxy. Economy would boom, producing oxygen filters, spaceship parts, suits, genetically engineered seeds, and advancing research. Many companies would be begging for hundred of thousands positions to be filled, ranging from menial labor to administration.

This needs to happen.
