Except every game that looks pretty has been so expensive that they had selling goals that were impossible. They can have enough money to MAKE the games, but if they don't turn a profit from the games, then they lose out on money.

Dead Space 3 had to sell 5 million units in order to justify the costs to make it. Whereas Dead Space and Dead Space 2 sold less than 2 million units combined.
I saw the commercial for Battlefield 4 and if the in-game graphics are anything like the commercial, that will probably follow the same fate.

I'm sorry but have you ever played Half Life 2? When it came out it had top end graphics and thats still an amazing game.
