As was I.

Fun, somewhat related story:
My mom used to have a boyfriend who was a huge (emotionally) abusive dick. So before she dumped him, she decided to get back at him. She cooked up a batch of (fucking amazing) brownies packed full of laxatives. He suspected nothing and her plan was going fine until he decided to bring them to work instead of eating them at home.

He worked with a baseball team. The whole team had the worst shits. My mom feels terrible about it, but I think the collateral damage was the best part of her revenge.

BTFW the field wasn't the only thing with skidmarks.

People within our society are socialized to believe that technological advancement has inherent value. It's ironic that Funnyjunk would judge an alien race (with entirely different values) by this cultural idiosyncrasy. The Na'vi were already able to sustain their society with the level of technology they had, therefore they had no reason for innovation. Yet somehow they are deemed "lazy" for not laboring to produce things they do not need.

What of the lightbulb? At the time it was made no such thing was required. We had plenty of oil and it served just fine as a life source.
