Well the game hardly abides by the rules in the anime because that would require more episodes to cover duels, especially considering in the first story arch they use 2000 lifepoints, when in real rules it's 8000 -- something they rectify in later story archs I thiiiiiiiink. Haven't really watched any since they were fighting on a blimp or something and that was when I was a kid.

I used to play the card game a little when I was young, and I know that the anime rarely reflects a card game that well, but when the anime IS a card game, you'd think they'd be a little more accurate, in any case, little kuribo's abridged series is worth the watch just for the laughs =)

I think It could survive a hammer. You would need a grinder to get through those tacks. I work at a pipe fitters local and we usually do TIG as a root pass, the several hot passes with MIG (depending on the width of the pipe), and a cover pass with stick using 7018 rods.

But...by your federal laws is weed still not illegal? Last I checked Federal supersedes State laws.
User avatar #134 - TheMacDaddy (11/07/2012) [-]
The way the US Government is SUPPOSE to work is a small federal government and more powerful state governments. So, as the constitution states, the Federal government only has power over expressed powers, powers plainly listed in the constitution such as conflicts between states and national defense. Any power that is not listed as a federal power, such as drug laws, are inherent powers that go under state powers.

tl;dr the federal government has no power over drug laws according to the constitution.
#135 - Neodude (11/07/2012) [-]
But...when has the US government actually followed the constitution word for word lately?
User avatar #136 - TheMacDaddy (11/07/2012) [-]
exactly why i said "suppose to work"... it is rather upsetting that they can get away with it
User avatar #87 - dogtown (11/07/2012) [-]
You are correct... What I assume will happen, or how I understand, it will be fine to smoke with in that state. However, if you decide to take that weed from, let's say Colorado to Texas, and you are caught in Tx. you will be convicted.

Again this is only my hypothesis, not even sure how things will result in later events.
#89 - Neodude (11/07/2012) [-]
I see, my thoughts were that State police would not be able to do anything, but if any federal law enforcement officials catch you with it, since they enforce federal laws, (obviously) they would be able to charge you with the appropriate fines.
User avatar #97 - dogtown (11/07/2012) [-]
Indeed.
The benefit of this is that it will lessen the stupidity prohibition creates by prosecuting every single individual that carries one, two grams or even an ounce around with no means of distribution.
Also, let's say you are driving, you just got your stash restocked and are headed home, (let's say that you live in Colorado for the sake of this situation), and you are pulled over by, I don't know, an FBI agent, (which is highly unlikely), then he sees that you have some weed, but they know that in that state it's legal, it might give you the benefit of maybe just driving away with just a fine or a ticket. Thus you don't have to go to jail and be handcuffed and all of the procedures. As opposed as when it was simply illegal everywhere and no questions were asked, you were simply taken away... At least that's how I see it.

I am not too excited that they will make it legal, because of the regulations. I am concerned that they might try to privatize it and sell you weed sticks with "watered" down versions of weed that don't give you the same high. I would much rather that they decriminalize it.
Then again that is just me.
#104 - Neodude (11/07/2012) [-]
We will all just have to wait and see. the one thing I definitely see happening is that the amount of weed users probably won't increase. I always laughed at the thoughts that if it was made legal it was thought masses of people would start using. Bottom line is it is still a drug, and such many people still won't bother with it.
User avatar #110 - dogtown (11/07/2012) [-]
I agree, people smoke it regardless.
I mean prohibition is simply a useless factor in determining what people do and don't do and the people that chose not to smoke well simply will ignore it.
I am just happy that people become aware the potential the whole has for many of its uses.
Hemp should be used as much as possible to replace as many of products as it can, works both ways. Use the plant for industrial purposes and the bud for recreational. Plus it is less worse than alcohol and tobacco my milestones.
#112 - Neodude (11/07/2012) [-]
Indeed it is less damaging then tobacco or alcohol. I always though the reason it was useless to try and legalize it is because it is impossible to properly control the product, since it is so easy to grow at home.
User avatar #116 - dogtown (11/07/2012) [-]
I've never thought about that, interesting point mate.
But I think I know why it was made illegal.
Back in the 1930's hemp was used as a raw material for many things, such as clothes, medicine and other things that I do not recall at the moment.
As technology advanced we started using cars and well with cars means gasoline, which is oil. What other things do we use that contain oil or some derivative of oil? A shitload of things and products. Thus they made it illegal because oil was no match for hemp.
Then during WWII since companies and industries got in to producing "tools of warfare" they needed something to help oil out, and hemp reached out and bailed out oil and played an important role in WWII...
Now after all this, and many more, you just ask yourself, wtf would they make weed illegal? Even after there have been no recorded deaths from direct use of weed, as an overdose.
This makes everything much more clear and makes you wonder:
