LOL. I'm a HUGE optimist. I subscribe to what I would call Klemke's Optimism -- which prides living in the moment and enjoying life as the subjective experiences roll on by, and we attribute meaning and value to a colorless, physical world.

But if you respected Philosophy, you'd know pretty easily that it doesn't take a Pessimist to believe that "everything any human accomplishes will fade to dust." This is fact. To believe otherwise is delusional. It just means that you shouldn't live your life as if you could possibly have a lasting effect. Just live it to be a virtuous and happy person that has found their place in the world.

Moreover, if you don't see the value in good philosophy, you're literally no better than the Islamic imams that see no value in Science and openly mock it in YouTube videos. You express precisely the same hypocrisy. Science gives us the tools for Engineers to create YouTube -- and here they are lambasting Science. Philosophy gives us the tools for critical proper thought about literally everything. And here you are somehow lambasting it on account of a skewed definition of productivity.
