Indeed. It's right up there with little kids saying the pledge of allegiance before they even know the definitions of the longer words - if you ask me at least. Pic related - was how they did it originally before Hitler took over the Bellamy salute entirely.

Never underestimate the weird/creepy/abusive ways in which people will push their agendas onto children.

Yeah they are actually far MORE common at that age than later. It seems that later they're seen as too divisive, and that somehow the innocence of kids will prevent the divisiveness and make it OK.

The opposite is pretty much always the case - and also I've only seen 1 carried out by a teacher that seemed totally neutral and just wanted to get kids to understand the process, but I've seen many more carried out by a teacher that either uses the results to push their agenda directly, or uses their results to push their agenda indirectly later (no calling out of students or issues, but a sudden increase of certain stances and issues being discussed for no reason later in the class).
