There's also the possibility that the 'pupil & iris' form the entire visual organ and the rest of the 'eye' is actually just a thin muscular layer which can move it around slightly. Which would allow it to be more like this.
It would mean that the visual organ is very different, biologically, from the eyes of a mammal.

I think the worst offense is Marth #1, 2 and 3.
Lucina was just given Marth's moveset with minor differences and removed the tip hitbox.
Roy is just the Falcoclone of Marth, except that he's worse in every respect.
Nintendo loves them the hell out of clone characters or minimal work characters. They all just as easily could have been alt. costumes, not that it would have given us more characters (it was already addressed by Nintendo that there wouldnt be more characters if the clones didnt exist, there'd just be more costumes on fewer characters)
But dammit, I still like playing Smash. Except I play ProjectM instead because I can't afford dlc characters (just another in a long list of bad ideas for Nintendo)
