lathyrusvii (01/04/2016) [-]   Water can't exist in plasma form because molecules dissociate.  Any substance - regardless of what is its composition - becomes plasma if heated high enough. However, once it is heated it doesn't contain molecules, as all chemical bonds are broken. When a substance is heated to a high enough temperature to form plasma, it's molecules will be broken down, since plasma is made of ions (with all the electrons being ripped out of their orbits and stuff).  Water could be turned into plasma, you just wouldn't be able to tell that it was water at some point beforehand. This works for all linear gear combinations. Unless there were extra branching dead ends, counting in this way would be the fastest way of solving any size puzzle like this. | ||
