| No, it's just another way to let people know you're not straight and super special and different. And for some reason, people want it to mean that you're open to trannies, as if trans people are a different gender that isn't Male or Female, which is fucking weird seeing how much they defended Bruce Jenner and demanded we respect his choice to be referred to as Female. So really, they're just trying to normalize a weird as shit fetish for trannies and act like they don't judge people by looks. #208 -
anon (12/20/2015) [-] Sexualities refer to the sexes of the people you're attracted to, which can involve a number of different sexual characteristics. For example, some people may identify as the opposite gender, get hormones and such, but not get reassignment surgery, leaving them in a somewhat grey area for how people define being attracted to them, which led to the creation of pansexual, meaning they'd be fine with whatever combo of sex, gender, whatever. you basically just countered my argument, which was that they're trying to be special, by arguing that instead they are trying to be special.... Actually, I was countering your argument that it basically means, "I'm gay". I agree that they want to be special, but their point is that they're "Not Straight" no that they're gay. Want proof? Call any of the Pansexual people gay and watch them argue over how much different they really are.

sirquidam (12/20/2015) [-] Bringing people to space and utilizing the resources in our own Solar System would herald the beginnings of Space Frontier Era. We would have more resources than we could ever want. Our population would finally exceed Earth's limit, spreading across planets in the system. Many social issues would pale in comparison of this massive project to ensure humanity's place in the galaxy. Economy would boom, producing oxygen filters, spaceship parts, suits, genetically engineered seeds, and advancing research. Many companies would be begging for hundred of thousands positions to be filled, ranging from menial labor to administration. This needs to happen. the frightening thing is that many people dont think that way, i know quite a few people that way, and go like "but its not like they're making progress, why should NASA get the money" and i have basically tried to explain to them what you are saying here have a pinky

anon (12/20/2015) [-] Shut up stupid. Come back from your imaginative paradise and view the real world once in awhile. A golden retriever can carry a raw egg in its mouth and not break it because they were selectively bred/trained to be soft mouthed for hunting. A leopard was bred via natural selection to have teeth and claws that can cause damage to flesh. No they are not aware of their own strength in the sense that they are accustomed to "playing" with other big cats with fur and skin that protect them and even then sometimes they can accidently hurt each other and give them lacerations when things get rough (saw a youtube video from a big cat rescue where this exactly happened to one of their tigers, so yes they use claws). They are not consciously aware that there is a difference in a human's skin. And even then, I can show you a few videos of big cat attacks where "play" with humans rapidly changes to kill as natural instincts take over when they realize the human they are playing with is weaker, giving off the stench of fear as they know they are fucked, and the cat realizing that blood is pretty tastey. Even a dog, a domesticated animal, can be too rough without realizing it unless they are taught otherwise. This is why people with large dogs need to be cautious with them around small children unless the dog is used to them and taught to behave with care. I sure as hell would not want a leopard coming at me like that even with innocent intentions. Also worth pointing out that the guy's reaction to being approached from behind says it all. He may actually have turned in time regardless of the tiger, but the speed at which he did suggests he really doesn't fancy letting one of those animals jump on him from behind. Right. Anyone experienced in working with big cats knows that even if they are comfortable being in the enclosure with them and surrounded by that many that they should be respected for what they are. He was clearly on guard, and the leopard even went as far to grip his pants with the claws which is why he smacked his paw. He seems to notice that the attack had been mostly diffused, but reacting scared would just make it go backwards, hence the calm smacking of the cats paw to get him to let go. #26 -
crypticmerle (12/20/2015) [-] Most likely a sheltie or collie (hard to tell specifically which with how it's cropped). It has the double merle (lethal white) gene which affects the pigment and expresses itself in a large amount of white as well as common defects that come with the double merle gene like blindness (or in the case of the dog in my profile image it's missing its eyes) and most likely deafness. It's meant to go with my name crypticmerle because a cryptic merle can appear to be a non-merle patterned dog (could have a tiny speck of merle pattern somewhere, a blue eye that looks like a harmless china eye, or just hidden in the genes itself). If bred with another merle dog unknowingly could produce those defects or worse. I selected the name and image in hopes people would ask so I could raise awareness for canine health and genetics.

| oh no they bite, its just that in the wild the things they bite are usually their siblings which can take a friendly bite from its fellow leopard. however a human is alot softer than a leopard and mroe easily hurt. even a play bite from a leopard will hurt you. remember that a leopard will always go for te neck its ahrdwired into their brain to go straight for the neck or thighs so they dont tend to bite a tough part of the body, only fleshy weak parts. a playful bite wont kill you but youll likely need seeing too and maybe a couple stiches. remember their teeth are big and they have a very strong biting force. in the wild that mouth can pull down a sprinting antelope. #76 -
