1. I understand Mako didn't get out of it, and I've accepted the fact that he can get lightning. After having discussed it with a lot of people (looking at the chain of comments below), I've been convinced that that's okay.
2. I also understand now that the "master airbender" thing was an over-exaggeration on my part. By that, I meant that she was just too good (fighting a master bloodbender) for it to seem probable.
3. She did have the element of surprise, but like I said, she still managed to break out of his bloodbending. Simply put, he should have had her under bloodbending in the first place.
4. I can't enjoy a show when the writing isn't plausible to me. It's just my opinion, honestly. I'm not trying to insult anyone, I just don't think the writing was good. Of course, there are people who disagree.
