Lift and eat.
Manlets have easymode aesthetics because there's a lot less to fill out

"Lift and eat."

What the hell?

First, know your body:

What are you? ectomorph, endomorph or mesomorph?

Ectomorph: An ectomorph is a typical skinny guy. Ecto’s have a light build with small joints and lean muscle. Usually ectomorph’s have long thin limbs with stringy muscles. Shoulders tend to be thin with little width.

Endomorph: The endomorph body type is solid and generally soft. Endomorphs gain fat very easily. Endo’s are usually of a shorter build with thick arms and legs. Muscles are strong, especially the upper legs. Endomorphs find they are naturally strong in leg exercises like the squat.

Mesomorph: A mesomorph has a large bone structure, large muscles and a naturally athletic physique. Mesomorphs are the best body type for bodybuilding. They find it quite easy to gain and lose weight. They are naturally strong which is the perfect platform for building muscle.

Oh my god no shut up Somatotypes are bullshit in bodybuilding and were originally made for psychologists and criminal profiling and it was bullshit then too.

So, you are saying that a fat guy can eat the same as a good traind lifter?

#1765 - perfagly (06/16/2012) [-]
No, and that's not what somatotypes imply either. No sense in arguing though your head is filled with broscience so it's hopeless. I was the same way on my first year of training.
#1766 - rokhan (06/16/2012) [-]
No, my head are not filled with broscience.

What I'm saying is: You need to know your body type to gain from your diet.

Gaining from your diet = results.

#1770 - perfagly (06/16/2012) [-]
All of that said, I've gone from 120 to 205 on essentially nothing but cheeseburgers and other assorted junkfood in less than two years. I'm cutting now so my bf% is lower than the second picture but all I'm saying is somatotypes are bullshit.

in pic 1 I was skinny my whole life naturally pretty much and I "ate whatever I wanted" and didn't ever gain any weight. In pic 2 I'm fatstrong as fuck due to hedonistic bulking, and now I have what would be considered a more "mesomorphic" body.

So I'm an ectoendomesomorph according to this.

#1767 - perfagly (06/16/2012) [-]
That's not what you said.

That is bullshit. Knowing your body is different.
#1775 - rokhan (06/16/2012) [-]
Sigh... Knowing your body type is essential to your diet, that's all. I don't care what your opinion on somatotypes.

I know, I read, I heard and I watched major fitness ppl talking about it.

By the looks of your body, you're an ectomorph, as in high metabolism. An endomorph cant do that.. Eating cheesburger etc. AND btw: If you had chosen a better diet, I'm sure your body had improved much more than your current. Don't get me wrong, GOOD JOB! Really.

Diet, or "eat" as perfagly said.

Plan your diet. You must know that 80% of your results will rely on your diet.

Some basic tips:

1: Water can do much more than just keep you healthy. It can keep your metabolism kicking and help you curb your cravings.

2: Quality over cuantity. Many people cautiously check the nutrition statements on their food, but do they know the difference between quality ingredients? You can count calories all you want, but if you are eating poor quality calories, your results will be limited at best. Imagine you have a clone, and that clone eats the same amount of calories but from chocolate bars. Now imagine you get all your calories from whole food. Who will look (and feel) better? You would look and feel better than your clone of course! This is an extreme example, but it doesn’t have to be that extreme.

3: Prepare your mind, this aint easy.

4: You may be shocked to hear that many people gain weight due to under eating. That’s right! The body is great at surviving, and if we under eat or starve ourselves, the body reacts by slowing down our metabolic rate. This means your body will try to store as much fat as possible on your body when you put it in starvation mode. I recommend eating six small meals throughout the day. This will ensure that your body has the proper nutrients it needs, thus prevent the body from attempting to store fat. If the body knows that food is not far away, it will not store large amount of fat around your mid section.
Now, this does not mean you can over eat or eat whatever you want. You will still need to eat a diet that is clean and has the proper macro nutrition ratios.

Losing weight:

The best way to lose weight, is high intensity training, like interval.

My cardio program: 3 days a week.

walk/slow jogging in 30 sec, then give it your best in 30 sec straight, then repeat in 10-15 min, max 20 min.

Gaining muscle:

Step 1: Prepare your self! Are you ready to lift and eat healthy? Are you ready to change your life?

Step 2: Feel it. Go to your local gym, try and lift and feel how your body respond to the workout the next day. (have someone who knows his shit to help you)

Step 3: Get the guy who knows his shit to help planing your workout plan.

Step 4: Follow the plan
