I thought of this myself and feel it is key to not becoming one of the mindless sheep that rule or are ruled by the world as it is . hold with me because this is a long one .sopa , nda , patriot act , and numerous other bits of legislation in the usa have been and are being passed to remove as many rights and freedoms as possible from united states citizens . My belief ? by the year 2014 the government will back down or there will be some form of civil war , because if neither of those things happen we will live in a country where we are stripped of rights and treated like criminals no matter what we have done . the original bill of rights is a joke to the us government . right to peaceful protest ? right to free speech ? right to bare arms ? right to form a militia ? all of these things have been restricted to the point of nonexistence . the founding fathers intended for a country where the government would serve it's people and would let its people have a say in what happens . today this is not the case the government works for corporations , and instead of allowing liberty it is taking away rights . give me liberty or give me death . thoughts ?

Quite identical to what i'm thinking, heres my spin on it, congress has no power in a sense, we all know that there are lobbiests in the two houses, paid by CEO's of large companies they control what bills pass and what don't. One huge bill that should have never passed was the government-run cash-for-clunkers program. This program ruined any private car dealing and now more then 95% is in dealership owners hands feeding companies like GMC Toyota and Hyundai. Also, the government has been forclosing housing and making money off of it. They receive auction price for selling it back to the public, nobody benefits off the house besides the govenment where there are thousands of people who are looking for real-estate to flip and personally make money off of.

you know it's really fucking hard to have a good debate / conversation who seems to be on the same page with you all the way . hmm are you a furry / not anti furry ? or a brony ? I am both

okay I have been there read stuff . I don't follow them but I do track there movements not religiously but I do try to keep track of what they are doing . I agree with them on most things they have said if not all .

I like the ideas of alchemy, IDEAS, philosophy is a big part of what i enjoy thinking about theoretical situations heres one: Picture waking up tomorrow morning and you do not know where you are but you know there is nothing wrong with you, you're just not where you are supposed be. Now several men in lab coats enter the room, they ask you how you have been feeling and if you feel physically fit. Obviously confused you answer them but then start asking your own questions like, Where am I, What do you want from me? Then a man with a clipboard walks in and hands it to you. It states "There has been a nuclear war. We are not going to hide that from you but we need your permission to use your body to obtain an item in the area where one of the bombs have hit where there is radiation that will kill a functioning human. We have saved you in order to use your body to retrieve this item. With your signing you give us permission to remove your brain from your body and "hook" it up with your brain. Almost like a controller tells an RC car what to do. With our technology when you come back from where the bomb hit we can put your brain back into your body." Confused and having no choice you agree and sign the dotted line. They remove your brain, and unfortunately your body was obliterated by the radiation. Suddenly, you wake up, but you are no longer in your body but someone elses. You have complete control over this body. You don't know your name. You don't know where you are and you don't know anyone around you and you don't know where the people who you did know are. Who are you?

a different person . you do not know your name ( an integral part of the self ) nor do you know your body therefore while you may have some of the mental abilities and memories of your previous self you are still a different being . similar but not quite the same . rather like the idea of reincarnation being you but not being quite you .

good answer, you can fight that your body is shell and your soul is who you truely are, but i agree without any physical representation of yourself you are not your prior self
