I loved halo, and I was cautiously optimistic about halo 4 and was severely disappointed. I hold no hopes for halo 5.

I will give them that overtime 343 improved Halo 4 and it looks like they have shown us decent things for Halo 5 as well as a good beta.

It's not pay to win, it's play to win... I'm assuming that you are talking about the REQ points; to get them you have play in warzone which is one of the game modes where the player can use them; and you only use them once you get enough points while playing.

You can pay for packs that give you shit for Warzone and armor skins and shit.
But they do not in any way give you an unfair advantage in-game.

You can also easily get these packs just by playing the game.

The Req packs include weapons to use in Warzone and do give an unfair advantage unfortunately.

You're also not guaranteed to keep the card. meaning if you use it, some random chucklefuck like me can come in, and hijack your vehicle or toss a grenade in it, like we could in all the other games, and that means you just wasted your money.

so basically you're not guaranteed legendary stuff. that means that you have to keep buying packs to get the stuff you want. so it's not just pay2win, it's RNG pay2win.

Or you could just unlock it for free. And the game doesn't match you with people who all have legendary req cards unless you have All legendary req cards. If you have common ones, you get put in a match with people with common cards, if it's mythic you get put in a match with people who have mythic.

Except that's wrong. If you have say, a battle rifle scope on an assault rifle, and a person without one on their assault rifle, it's going to be negated due to the fact that there's a smart scope, which allows you to zoom in with any gun. Did you even play the beta?

They aren't one time use things. You do get it permanently. but it's only available in warzone. Other than that, it's completely cosmetic, everything does the same damage as it does in arena mode.

I was upset at first when I first saw the concept of these Req packs, but after looking a bit into them I think it's fine.
Especially with the supposed idea that because of the microtransactions, map packs will be free. That's actually kind of kick ass if it's true.

Because having an assault rifle with a battle rifle sight instead of the usual is hardly anything actually advantageous.

Because it does not change the gun's accuracy or damage.
It's like saying putting a scope on a shotgun makes it better for longer range.

Also, all guns can be aimed through sights now in Halo 5. Even the AR, even the fucking needler. They all zoom in the screen just slightly depending on the gun, but it does not affect what the gun actually does.

Anyone buying these cards is most likely wasting their money for say...rocket launchers (Which are single use, by the way, The regular weapons like BRs and assault rifles, etc are normal) in every pack they buy.

No the cards you pay for can only be used in non-competitive modes with the exception of skins and armour. The card packs are unlocked as you play anyway, I don't plan on buying any
