This large man is from a very popular tv show called Lost. Where the actors of the show are in a plane that crashes on a mysterious island. The show had like 6 seasons.

Shit's creepy imo
I'm also experiencing this but not just with physical things, I'm also having it happen with things like music, odd social interactions and such. I'm having trouble wrapping my head around why it's happening so often now.
As for if it's a coincidence? The me of the past would say yes but I'm not so sure now.
Just my anecdotal evidence.
I'm not sure it's a coincidence per se; I'm sure there's some "godly"
by godly I mean space/time
connection or it's just that your brain enjoys what you learned and tries to focus more on it by putting you into situations where it's a common thing. There has to be some science behind it considering how common it's been in just my life alone.
For instance, in high school I learned of the proportionate equations and how to solve them and, for about 3 years after, used it at least once a week. I never once thought of how creepy it was until my girlfriend started college. I still use the equation to this day but not nearly as often as once a week. It's more like once a month if that.
I feel you on the space/time part. What about it did you find it creepy?
I just get weirded out by the unexplained but I also get curious about it
If there was some actual scientific explanation about it, I'd love to read it and it probably wouldn't be as creepy to me.
another example of this phenomenon: when I was in 6th grade (11, almost 12 years ago), when asked how I was doing, I responded with "meh" because that's exactly how I felt. I never thought anything of it until about a year later I noticed how many people on the internet used that same word. To this day I feel like the first, if not one of the first, to say that word but I'm probably not
I think everyone dose which would explain how the concepts of gods came about. Some form of coping mechanism people have to help them feel more safe.
The more I think about it the more it seems to me at least that the overall goal/purpose of humanity as a collective is to try explain fully and do everything.
Despite this being a task that should take forever to achieve so to be futile to attempt, "we' do it anyway as the alternative is to do nothing.
I still need to think about this more to better try explain/expand on it/
I get what you're saying to an extent. I personally don't believe in a god or afterlife
due to having died before from overdose
and I'm not at all frightened by the unexplained just creeped out by it. I think it's more of an instinctual feeling.
On the note of humans' purpose to explain everything: I think it's possible. The universe is ever expanding, sure, but that doesn't mean it's infinite. At least to an extent. There may be a number of universes out there that we can discover through various means of transportation, but, eventually, I feel like we'll discover everything and become a race of gods.
knowing everything would include us being able to create a species of intellectual beings. Thus labeling us as gods of some sort.
Only time will tell, though. As cheesy as that sounds. Hell we may not even be able ti scientifically explain this phenomenon before I die. I do think we will, though. Due to larger funds being put toward science itself in the near future.
