2nd law of Newton as I was taught:

dp/dt = sum F (p = m*v)
dv/dt * m + dm/dt * v = sum F

if m = const. (--> dm/dt = 0)
dv/dt * m = sum F
or
a * m = sum F

feeling so smart
technically should be vectors
User avatar #34 - greenmurderer (07/27/2014) [-]
so basically you just differentiate p (=m*v) with respect to t

unless we are talking outter space, there are very few occasions where the object loses significant mass as a function of time, so really, for 90% of the case on earth, its just equal to mass times acceleration. That's all I was saying

Exept that momentum is mass times velocity and the time rate of change would be Mass times the derivative of velocity, which is acceleration.
So you practically just said the same thing. Talk about pointless comments

a) proportional isn't the same as equal to
b) F=ma only works if mass remains constant, and Newtons are used as the unit of force.

Like I said, a few modelling assumptions later, it reduces to mass times acceleration, but if we were to be pedantic (or solve out a good few equations where calculating acceleration is a waste of time) then it's proportional to rate of change of momentum.

No I meant how they measure people. Most of the time, people weigh in stones and pounds. That's old school imperial. Americans don't even use that.

If they're a fairly important person to the Corporation, they would rather give them maternal leave than replace them; The US Healthcare system is pretty much based on how important you are in your position. Believe it or not, you don't have to get that high up when the cost of replacing you, becomes more than the cost of maternity leave.

Hey, sorry if this is weird, but I made that G Gundam comp earlier, and I noticed that you thumbed it down. Can I ask why you did? I ain't mad, I'd just like to know if there was a way I could have made it better.

Quite possibly could have been on a streak of downvoting youtube videos only on here because some guy wants to promote his channel and just not noticed. I'll take another look.

Thanks for taking a second look. I'm not thumb whoring, I'm not desperate for attention, I'm just trying to create content and make some funny stuff for the site, ya know? www.funnyjunk.com/channel/animemanga/G+Gundam+Comp/BetxGOr/

Right, I've looked it over, and I must have just not been focused or something like that, anyway, it's upvoted now. Sorry about the mix-up.
