I'm not denying the collection of guns or using them for sport/hunting (though I don't understand collecting them if you don't plan to use them for sport/hunting). The guns I'm concerned about are the ones you're not allowed to use for hunting or sport. I'm not a fan of people buying guns for the sake of having a gun.
Martial arts was used for combat, but then essentially rendered less useful due to advancements in war technology (and just technology). Now it's used (or supposed to be used) for self-defense. I've been to a few classes, and they always stress not to go beat up someone for the hell of it.
Guns for self-defense is something I don't understand, either. Hell, you have a chance of killing a motherfucker when you don't mean to. For self-defense, you could learn to buy/effectively use a non lethal weapon. You damage the other guy without killing him, and then you can be free to go.

I don't see how making guns illegal will impede criminals. Pot is outlawed federally, yet it is still prominent enough in society for stoners to be stock characters in pop culture.

I honestly don't really have strong feelings on this issue and honestly I don't even own a gun despite the side I'm on.

It might stop over a long period of time. Some bad people buy guns because it's available, and are too lazy to go out and find a dealer of the sort. People caught with guns get their guns taken away and stuff.

If criminals try to break in a store, that's when someone uses their less than lethal weapons to stop them without killing them.

well were i live they are taking action and offering government refunds to people who turn in their weapons. The problem is that apparently a group of thugs hang out around the collection agency and write down the license plates of the people who go in. Afterwards they follow them home then break into their house. A lot of the laws backfire fast.

With EA, the issue is exploiting and trying to milk customers as much as possible. With A&F, it's simply not wanting to associate their brand with fat people.

You're paying for a logo, it's not uncommon, plus A&F clothing didn't become popular for no reason, they do tend to be higher quality (not saying one way or the other if the quality alone justifies the price of some of their products). Also, their men's t-shirts start at about 15$ and go up to only about 40$ at most with graphics. A plain t-shirt from them will only cost you about an average of 20-30$.

Durability alone doesn't equal quality in clothing. Durability, comfort and looks are what determine the quality of clothing.

They're overpriced but as I said, you pay for a logo. Hollister for example is owned by A&F, it's a cheaper alternative (albeit targeted towards teens more than anything) made with the same standards as the parent company's clothing but without the same logo, those shirts cost 30$ a the top of the chart, most of them are about 15-20$.

If A&F's pricetag isn't considered a rip-off, then I don't know what is.
