oh, I believe whole heartedly in being true to the lore and all that shit. I also believe that a deathclaw is, in its nature, a four ton mass of walking "go fuck yourself"
I work off of this principal: "tabletop games are a lot more like real life as opposed to videogames. just because all of the enemies in point x are confined to point x in the game doesn't mean they'ren ot gonna start exploring close to point y"

also, we're using the original ruleset. I did however homebrew a dragon race that sucks and a crystal pony race (uses cha instead of int for strain. +3 to cha and can take both sexual orientation perks for free at the first level)

most stories have a flow of highs and lows when it comes to the mood (sadness, depression, high points low points, et cetera). PH is a constant plummet downwards. atop of that, it's a self insert to the original lore (in the first story, do you remember how little pip had to take party-time ment als to sneak into red eye's camp? Well that's because it was the main character of project horizon's idea, of course!)
atop of that: some issues with characters
blackjack, the main character, has robotic legs. with fingers. a unicorn. with fingers.
a horse. with fingers.
also, one of the companions is named murdershy. she's an alicorn. fluttershy. mercenary.

1) When Blackjack get's her "upgrades" after she dies the first time they are made in part by Rover (one of the diamond dogs that captured rarity in the show) who is himself a cyborg or Sand-Dog. The thing he says is "Thumbs is better, pony. Pony will see."
2) There is no character named Murdershy, She calls herself Fluttershy but everyone calls her Psychoshy (cause she act's like Flutterbitch) her mother and father (who thought she died during birth) were going to name her Whisper though which she takes as her name later.
3) and as for mood? There are ALOT of high points and low points the main character herself deals with most of her issues and depression by pretending she's fine and doing something silly and random to cheer everyone up. also there are two perfect day chapters later in the story where everything goes right to the surprise of Blackjack. Chapter 57 "Best Night Ever" and Chapter 70 "Calm"

Kkat is writing a prequel to Fallout: Equestria called Fallout: Equestria Origins.
I asked them earlier (last week) if they ever considered running a campaign, to which they replied that they were, and that they would be turning it into their next fic called "origins."

It's had a lot of "work" put into it and Kkat gave the go ahead to give it its own page (in their words 'it was larger than the others, so it was just for organization purposes). A lot of people misunderstood and took that as "oh, this is the official sequel"

Okay, so I'm currently running a weekly fallout pnp game with a few friends. I don't suppose you have any tips for running it, because I'm mostly going off of what fells right. I've already simplified the overcomplicated rolling system to a base d20 with skill modifiers, but I feel like I'm giving my players too much power with it. So any ideas to balance it out?

I thinks it's more on my end where I don't feel like I'm giving them combat that will actually threaten their characters. I've thrown two deathclaws at them, one of them an alpha and the characters dispatched them with almost no trouble, Even after they were split up and had more chasing after them. I guess I'm feeling like I'm not allowing their characters to reach their full potential.

Well I already had the party go against them before. They blew up an armored caravan they were transporting to get what was inside and sniping them from a distance. Put one of them near death and had they other two cowering behind a rock for five turns trying to get him up, before realizing that nothing was happening because they had already left.

I kind of already did that. Actually had them knocked out by the brotherhood when they got too close to HeliosOne. Afterword was a series of events that involved flirting, broken legs, a gold brick, and a shit ton a med-x. All lead up to them being trapped in a cave filled with 100's of cazadors. They ended up blowing up the cave and running past event's happening outside the cave.
