Holy hell, that's amazing. I've always wanted to visit places like that and just enjoy my time there. I swear whenever I get a good career on my hands, I'll visit other countries every once in a while and stay at places like these (les diablerets included).
a good career? i kinda just up and leave if i feel like it no point in waiting for the opportunity to pass :) mind you i have been very lucky to have alot of opportunities to travel i'm going to india next year can't wait XD and you have to put scotland on your list as wet as it is lol
Unfortunately I don't have the funds to just up and leave, especially for something that is overseas. With the field I'm going in, I should be able to make a good living in the U.S. and still get to travel to many European countries. Scotland is also placed on my list! :P
And India, awesome! Is there a special occasion?

i suppose its harder to travel as much when your somewhere as big as the US, here its all pretty much close together and yea its my mates 21st so her dad (since her parents are seperated and he doesnt do much) guitily bought her whatever she wanted and she wanted a ten day stay in india for her and her two best mates so free trip to india XD
There's not really much reason for us to travel far west in the U.S. unless it's to visit family in California. If it's somewhere that far, we go by plane. There's no way to get to Ireland, Scotland, France, Italy, etc. by car, so plane is the obvious choice :D Maybe I can visit some overseas FJ friends!
The trip sounds like it'll be a lot of fun! And yay for free! Hope it's great!

thanks i really hope so too XD another continent to cross off my list which is amazing i hope to have been to all of them by the time i'm fifty :D

How we socialize online does not reflect our offline behavior. Too many of us would be socially awkward in person. lol
I plan on visiting Europe as much as I can, so I'll probably be making multiple trips to Scotland :)
That seems like an amazing feat! I hope you accomplish it!

its fine we could always revert back to laptops :) and for those of us that drink its a very effective social lubricant
trust me scotalnd doesnt really merit multiple trips i mean since its my home country (more or less) i guess i've just seen to much of its bad side to think it would be as good as somewhere like rome :)

Laptops won't be as fun though. A lot of people on social though (I can name a few) won't exactly get along and they aren't exactly pleasant.
A new place and a new day is a new experience, so I wouldn't mind visiting familiar spots time and time again.

tbh i wasnt thinking of everyone on social or that i was thinking of a select few ;) and true but i think if it was people who got on and that they would have as much difficulty getting in real life :)
I guess :) i can think of loads of places i would revisit in the world but only one in scotland but the funny thing is is i have traveled more in Europe than in Scotland lol

I've actually thought about that, inviting some of my fj friends (and maybe a few irl friends) to a tinychat group. I'll probably give it a go one day. What do you think?
In the U.S., I'd probably like to visit New York a few times and maybe travel to some mountains here.

why not whats the worst that could happen :)
I would love to spend a day in new york but i would probably have a claustrophobic attack surrounded by that many people on all sides so i would love to go to that national park with the lake thats sort of in an open roofed cave if that makes any sense ive seen photos and it looks amazing and i would love to go to see the grand canyon properly not just drive around for 4 hours till we get told we are slowly making our way into the bottom of the canyon and need a permit and all that bollocks like last time

It's not their voices that annoy me as much. It's the fact that they CHOOSE to sing and the fact that they almost never create their own songs and instead just cover famous musicians and Christmas songs. Another annoyance is that this has created a fad on youtube and that they keep having sequels!
