500 years? What an arbitrary number? Here are much more likely choices:

38 years (because the Greek military junta ended in 1974)
71 years (because the dictator Ioannis Metaxas dies in 1941)
2000 years (because they want to re-instate the old Greek religion, with Zeus, Poseidon, etc.)

But 500 years? Come on, for that kind of wild number, I would have slapped her as well.
