Here is Batman about to be crushed by 2 tons of metal and only being saved by putting an innocent in danger and hoping it would work.

Hoping? He knew it would work. Bruce never gets into a situation without having an out. Regardless, that's hardly the only time they've fought in comic canon, and Bruce has proven that he's the only man capable of handling Clark.

maybe beaten batman at being a faggot

superman is a god
User avatar #58 - imnotkickthecat (09/24/2013) [-]
Heres the thing about comics where batman fights superman that I dislike.

1) They would never fight unless the author rips apart everything that makes superman/ batman what they are. As in, superman goes mad with power cause this and this. Those are interesting stories, but superman is above that like batman is.

2) Superman never actually fights. Its always batman beating down on superman while clark is trying to talk batman out of fighting him. Imagine if superman actually wanted to kill batman in this generation of comics. Superman would not even bother fighting with an armed batman. He would fly back in time like he can and kill an unready batman.

3) They are never written by un-biased authors. Plain and simple every author that writes for DC has a favorite and will make their favorite look like the good guy. This in unavoidable though because a story written by someone who doesnt know DC would be just as bad as a fanboy story. Batman: The Dark Knight returns .

4) Where the hell is the rest of the justice league in most of these stories? Why are they not stopping this? Bat vs Superman causes so much damage that they can sometimes be more devastating than doomsday doping into metropolis.

5) Not enough Marvel, everyone knows marvel is better.
User avatar #69 - roflsaucer (09/24/2013) [-]
Well, even though you say "they would never fight unless the author rips apart everything...", Injustice:Gods Among Us is fantastic.
User avatar #71 - imnotkickthecat (09/24/2013) [-]
Alternate reality plots don't even count as they start off as a cop out.
User avatar #72 - roflsaucer (09/24/2013) [-]
It's still good regardless.
User avatar #76 - imnotkickthecat (09/24/2013) [-]
Yea, I said those are interesting stories. My favorite of those alternates is "superman red son", but the whole starting the entire story being non-cannon kinda ruins some of it for me.
User avatar #77 - roflsaucer (09/24/2013) [-]
It doesn't really ruin it for me because it's simply a scenario of how things would play out if X happened.

Is this picture from the comic where Superman is being controlled by Poison Ivy? If it is, I do believe the panel RIGHT AFTER this one shows Superman unaffected and is about to slam a car into Batman, who only got saved cause catwoman pushed Lois off a building.
User avatar #103 - misterbatman (09/25/2013) [-]
This is the panel directly before he dodges Superman and lets the BBBS punch an electrical panel and knock himself out. Batman obviously can't beat Supes in a battle of strength, but he'll always win through guile.

Inb4 "superman is always holding back", Batman has the Insider suit at his disposal. He could solo Supes while drinking a glass of wine and fucking Selina while wearing the Insider suit, but he chooses not to because, in his words, it gives him an unfair edge and nobody should have that much power.

I know what you mean, my cosplay Darkmoon Knightess build turned out to be a more drastic change from what I call my pyro mercenary build (mid-poise fast roll zwei with a heavy crossbow and silver knight shield) than I thought it would be at first, no shield or projectile magic build really do throw you off.

My main is a dex/pyro, full tarkus midroll with GC shield, +5 ascended, lightning longbow and +15 BSS. It's hilarious in PvP because people don't know how to handle pyromancies.

Does seem that bad, the longsword is a pretty good weapon and wanderers gear is fairly light allowing for low level fast rolls. I imagine for PvP however it would be a pain.
User avatar #91 - misterbatman (09/17/2013) [-]
I didn't think it would be as hard as it has been either. I've played around with no-shield runs before, but this has been a bitch. No magic, no shield, and no elemental weapons made for a much more difficult experience. However the Artorias Greatsword does a stupid amount of damage. My main build is Balder Swag Sword parry/riposte dickholery, so I'm used to being able to block effectively.
