Isn't the army just like signing up for suicide? Or are you not working front line?

It took me a couple years to decide, but the main reason was to help serve my country and do more with my life than to just go to college. I thought I would be on the front but my job is on base and couldn't be safer. I can't exactly say my job because, well this is the internet lol.

h-holy **** , are you really sure you wanna do this man, listen, you go into the airforce, sure fine. But what happens when you come out? nothing, thats why you guys have an epidemic when it comes to army veterans, there are no jobs for them cause they just spent the last 6 years in the army, I thought you were going for 6 months, a year tops, have you thought about your family or anything man???
