I recommend getting Liara first seeing as how she's a squad mate and is good in biotics

I went to go get Liara. It took me a while to find the right planet.
I got there and drove the Mako around (shits hard as fuck) and got pretty far.
I avoided the lava the entire time, and for some reason, when i drove over a certain area it killed me. No lava or enemies in sight.
Fuck...

Mako driving is buggy as fuck. That's why they took it out in the other games. A lot of planets they didn't really put a lot of effort into design so some of them have random kill boxes placed around.

Yeah, but I got excited to play, got pretty far, died, got sent to the beginning, and quit.
Feels bad man.

I never cared for kaiden, but he's a boss in mass effect 3.
Mostly because they set him up to be one of the few tanking biotics.

I hate his douche face

Also, I refuse to ever use Kaiden ever.

And in Mass Effect 2 on the last mission you've really gotta chose your team well.

Which class do you recommend?

Being Paragon is probably the best thing to do in mass effect.

Now classes.Starting out, go with soldier. Simply because you can feel the weapons and how each type works. Soldiers are your basic class. They don't really offer anything special except for being proficient in each weapon field.
Once you get a feel for the weapons and you decide which one you like, go with the class that suits that. Or if you use biotics or Techs (basically recharging powers) go with a class that is good in those.
I tend to use Biotics a lot so I usually play Adept. If you use tech damage(hacking, freezing, etc.) go with an engineer. Snipers are the infiltrator, Shotgunners are vangaurds, and Tanking characters are usually Sentinels.

yeah I've heard a lot about the Halo books and how they are amazing both on their own and when combine with the game. As for the Star Wars me and the Fiance are trying to fallow some sort of time line through it which has provided for some odd reading jumps.

I usually don't have any problem with jumping to different timelines in books so long as I know what timeline it is like old republic, galactic senate, empire, etc.
I would recommend playing the halo games before you read some of the books.
It just helps clarify some stuff
