"On March 27, just a few weeks before Marc Golczynski was to return home from his second tour in Iraq -- one he volunteered for -- he was shot on patrol and killed by enemy fire in al-Aanbar province.
During a moment at the burial, Christian stepped forward to receive the flag for his father. The expression of grief on his young face was captured in a photo and became a powerful symbol for soldiers, their families and anyone who sees it."

We see pictures like this all the time, and unless we're autistic, we feel as much as you do about families, and this poor kid who lost his father, as well as many different types of content depicting love that was lost, or honoring duties in the past that were performed for each one's country.
But in the midst of these emotions and feels, we're on FunnyJunk. More specifically, the comment section. You can't expect that someone isn't going to try to inject humour into a situation that contained none. Fitting it together worked, and it's only natural to try and make something like this humourous. We go on this site to laugh, enjoy content, and comment. If you think that people who caption pictures to input humour on a funny site can kill themselves, you're in the wrong place.
And I get it, you're in the military. This strikes home for you. But you can't go around telling adults not to have steak because a baby can't chew it. We make fun of 9/11, the military, other countries, black people, and that Todd girl who drank bleach.
You want to experience feels and pride? I hate to be blunt, but find somewhere else, so you won't be offended by this site doing what it does best.

Yeah, I get that. And I'd be sensitive, too, if, say, my parents were killed in 9/11. But not everyone's parents died in the military here, so not everyone shares the same views.
I don't find certain humour funny, in fact quite distasteful, so I see where you're coming from.
Still, I don't post comments like you did. Just try and scroll past and ignore it next time, yeah? You'll be thumbed into oblivion.
