Any segments in the trilogy when you have to deal with THIS goddamn son of a bitch. Towards the end of dead space 2 when your dealing with this mofo I felt like John Connor desperately running away from the terminator.

while the feeling of helplessness is somewhat scary, i feel it's false and stressful. yes, you can't kill it but you haveto be stupid or low on ammo to be killed by it. you know you can just shoot of a leg and ignore it and you know you'll kill it sooner or later.
really the hunter segments are only irritating. if you're low on ammo you should be feeling "i can't stop it" instead of "where's the next corpse or do i have to make one".
basically what i'm trying to say, horror looses it's, well, horror when you have a means to continuesly win over the horror.

At first I want to say that I don't play/watch horrors much. So maybe it's beause I found Dead Space scary. The second thing is that I really found that "dead space" and "in the space nobody can hear you scream" shit really frightening,

I have been playing Dead Space mostly at night, alone, with completelly darkness at my room and with really good headphones on. The first chapters were really scary to me. All those sounds, especially the noises of the monsters you didn't face yet. Maybe fights weren't that scary because after you learn about enemies weak spots they were pretty routine. But what scared me the most, especially at the beggining was that constant feelings like "something is waiting for me behind that corner" "something is waiting for me behind those doors". I didn't know what and when to expect, watching my back all the time. At the very first chapters there were multiple times that I was shooting at wall just because I was thought that something was moving there or hear some shit. FIrst void levels were also scary because you cannot hear anything at all. I don't know, atmosphere was really good, all that noises, screams, hallucinations (that frekin crazy nurse). I really think that Dead Space is decent horror game, like I have said the final chapters weren't scary but at least half of the game can scare the shit out of you.

Yes. During Ragnarok, they kill each other.

A lesson from the Norse, featuring Loki

"Hahahaha fucking got Thor good, won't be fucking with my shit ever again now that his horse is all messed hahah wait what are you doi- OH GOD PLEASE STOP IT HURTS"

*9 months late* I got anally raped by another horse in gay sex. What the fuck is this thing. This was living in my asshole. How is this even possible
User avatar #49 - jorjicostava (09/13/2014) [-]
Loki was a mare though, so it was totally no homo.
User avatar #61 - heartlessrobot (09/13/2014) [-]
People prefer imagining a Tom Hiddleston-esque Loki getting plowed by a horse.
User avatar #64 - jorjicostava (09/13/2014) [-]
I am not surprised. He is one good looking man, but, I simply can't watch Thor or Avengers without dying a bit inside as a Swede. When even Swedes base their knowledge about Norse mythology on Marvel, I die a lot on the inside.
#65 - heartlessrobot (09/13/2014) [-]
Well, the one thing above all that bothers me about Thor is the shape of the hammer. I personally wear a Mjolnir necklace, and it looks nothing like in the movies.
User avatar #97 - jorjicostava (09/13/2014) [-]
Yeah, but apparently racists are using Mjolnir as a symbol for their bullshit. My pal had a necklace, but then a black guy came up to him, ripped it off, threw it on the ground and stomped on it, yelling "racist asshole". He apologized afterwards when he heard that my pal had no idea what the fuck he was talking about, and even gave him money to repair the chain.

So currently, a lot of modern vikings are extremely pissed at these racist assholes for using Norse mythology symbols.

But cool necklace, love the simplicity
User avatar #99 - heartlessrobot (09/13/2014) [-]
Yeah, my dad told me that neo-nazis are dragging it through the mud. Pisses me off, both my father and I wear them, though his is more decorative. And trust me, neither of us are racists. I discriminate equally.
User avatar #101 - jorjicostava (09/13/2014) [-]
I should get one, my dad wears one and it's really cool. It's actually what got me interested to start off with, he has had it since before me and my brother were born and I thought it was cool when I grew up.

And I trust you're not, no worries.

indeed. A redo of the lore in itself isn't a bad thing, but by neglecting the bonds between player feel, gameplay and lore will ruin that special feeling LoL brings.

i'm sure that the lore redo would be well met, if only the institute of war would still be a thing.

wait what

how exactly are they removing it?
User avatar #54 - midgetbagel (09/06/2014) [-]
as maringueluka wrote in comment 10:
"Good question!
No, Summoners, the Fields of Justice and the Institute are not canon within the fictional world of Runeterra. In-game, players are still referred to as summoners - but summoners won't be part of the story.
- Carnival J
They aren't removing the term "summoners" from the game. They are removing the terms summoner, institute of war and summoners rift in the lore. By doing this, they are shattering the bonds between player and lore, and creates two kind of players. One is players, the ones who just play the game. And the others readers, the ones looking for story.

By saying that the Summoners aren't real. You aren't actually doing anything in terms of lore. Originally Summoners were an actual part of the lore in game.
