What you don't seem to understand is that it's not the same as that.
Take a robber's gun away, he can still commit the crimes.
Take Magneto's powers away, not only can he not use his powers, he loses his position as the leader of a large mutant army, he loses his impact in the cause he was fighting for, he essentially loses everything he was proud of.
Besides, don't forget the relationship between Charles and Magneto. I'm sure he had some input into letting Magneto walk free.

Yes it fucking is. He committed crimes. When a robber commits a robbery, he goes to jail, they don't just set him free. Magneto instigated a fucking war between mutants and humans. He should have been tried and punished even after he lost his powers.

And, news flash, Xavier was DEAD throughout most of the movie. It's only revealed in a Stinger that he transferred his consciousness into that vegetative comatose person.

I used that on purpose to show just much anger he had in him. We all get that pulse of strength when angered to a breaking point and I wanted to use that to truly show how gruesome the scene was at that moment in his life. But thank you for the criticism.

I understand the whole anger thing, but still a bit unrealistic. In my opnion, it would have been better if he punched her neck and that killed her.

You're not understanding my point. Yes, they killed kids, but as you just said, their main target was Jewish people. Adam Lanza's specific target was first graders. In my opinion, that just adds a whole other level of awful and disgusting, the fact that his target was in fact the kids. I'm not saying the Holocaust is less atrocious or anything, yes, the Holocaust killed children, but the events at Sandy Hook, were directed at children.

It's recent. The Holocaust was 70 years ago, 9/11, it's been 11 years. Not only that, but neither of those specifically targeted children.

Holocaust: Killed millions of innocent people, a lot of which included children. People that experianced the Holucaust are still alive today.
9/11: KIlled 2 thousand innocent people, some of which included chilren. People that experianced 9/11 are stil alive today.
