It's very dual statement, actually.

Sometimes it's "Strive to improve yourself instead of judging others"
Other times it's "You can't complain about a movie because you are not a filmmaker"

I see it used in the latter context too often, that's all. I'm alergic to one-liners like this, or "you're just jealous". People can't have genuine negative opinions these days.

I don't like that saying. It's logically flawed. Certain people do certain jobs - they are supposed to be good at what they do. If they do it wrong professionally, critique is adequate.

-If you'd go to a restaurant and you'd get last day's microwaved meal, would you take "It is easier to criticize than to do better. " as an excuse?
-If you'd live in a house that was poorly designed and it would start to crumble in its foundations, do you think it's fair if someone told you "Build a better house if you don't like it" ?
-Are you telling me that if somoene is watching a football match, he can't complain about someone completely messing up just because he isn't a football player himself? Maybe we should cease watching sports and competitions entirely?

So yea. It's easier to drop smartass one-liners left and right, than to admit the harsh truth that people are expected to perform well in their jobs and they damn right should be.

It would have been smarter to just put a cable around it, even low down, and just pull on it from a distance. It is an obvious thing that you NEVER do what this idiot did.

Just gonna put this out there, they've taken out most of the brick on the other side of the chimney and taking out a little from the side he is on is supposed to cause the rest of it to collapse to the other side. Unfortunately it falls on top of his digger, fortunately the digger is built to survive something like that, otherwise they wouldn't have bothered doing that with the risk. Besides using excavator diggers like this you would have to use controlled explosives. The guy ain't an idiot, just unlucky
