- Ive seen this show around, does anyone recommend it?
It's neat if you're in the mood for it.
Basically, it's like you're following the vilian of the story as the protagonist, and not in an anti hero sort of way.
Following a remorseless, spiteful asshole with the power of making big guns bigger is surprisingly enjoyable IMO.
Most of the time when I see an anime that has a main premise revolving around a kiddie having mary sue plotarmor bullshit that has them dropping full-grown, fully trained and way more experienced adults like flies, It bores me and I drop it.
This isn't an exception.
I guess we're watching two different shows. Since technically she isn't a kid, and she also worked her ass off to get those skills (despite her wanting to just have a normal desk job). How many episodes of the show have you seen?
Skills, right right. Skills that make her energy shield able to block shots while her allies' and enemies' might as well be paper mache. Experience as a pink-slip jockey that let him outsmart and outplay a vanguard squad on his own. I watched up to episode 2, and though the end seems to imply that theres this mad-scientist dude that designed whatever special rig she/he and only she/he can use, that just replaces the mary sue plot armor with a deus ex machina. It
as though the only deus ex machina included in the story would be purely for the sake of making her/his life harder, but it seems god in that anime just doesnt know what they want.
Thanks for confirming what I thought it'd be from watching half an episode of it so I don't feel compelled to watch more of it. It's stuff like that that made Gate n' similar anime so off putting to me.
The manga explains that his/her knowledge of advanced battle maneuvers comes from being able to recall WWII history, tactics, and throw intermittent modern tactics in to allow him to create decent strategies.
