 The thing you have to realize about radial tires is that there is steel mesh that is criss-crossing everywhere in there. These steel fibers give the tire its durability while providing enough support to the rubber that these air pockets dont come through. Since the air in the tire can be anywhere from 30-45 psi (varying tire sizes and loads are taken into account) these bubbles push through factory deformities inside the tire. These air pockets, if ruptured, could be the equivalent to a shotgun blast of air and possible metallic shrapnel in the form of broken rods. These imperfections are serious. | ||
