however a fact is universal and unchanging to everyone that views it no matter what the perspective is. for example an american would say, "9/11 increased the amount of security in airports since the attack" that's a fact because that's verifiable from people of different perspectives.

when i think of something factual i think of something like a law of nature. i think of something that is concrete and unchanging no matter what anybody does or thinks. but when i think of truths, i view them as ideas or concepts that certain groups of people have accepted as being right. but that doesn't always guarantee their validity or accuracy which is why i don't view all truths as being factual.

perhaps what really makes me want to separate the two ideas is that i feel like truth has more room for opinions or bias whereas facts aren't in nature opinionated or biased.
