N. Korean citizen (03/20/2012) [-] Dude Britain out numbered the American forces almost 3-1and then hired 60,000 German mercenaries to fight for you. Also England didn't fight alone either Second of all the French didn't get involved in the War until after the Battle of Saratoga. The Spanish and Dutch mostly just gave the colonies supplies and were more interested in a British loss to make it safer for their colonies in the Americas. The Americans did most of the fighting you English fucks really need to learn your history #337

markeywo (03/20/2012) [-] Just to get as factual as fuck, the Brits weren't outnumbered, nor did they really lose they still got like half of America... Yeah Canada. The country like right by yours with the universal healthcare and better educational system. But seriously this was hundreds of years ago, who gives a fuck. Dude, it took English help from England 6 weeks by boat, which at that point in time we were fighting the Spanish, French and Dutch. Yeah you guys are a-mazin-g.

| I guess I've been one of the lucky ones, since we did this 18 months ago and our connection is still a solid 8mbps (what I was supposed to expect), and after I complained about their attempts to throttle my bittorrent P2P, they stopped doing that. You just need to be insistent. | ||

N. Korean citizen (03/17/2012) [-] Nah we don't worry about the nukes. Every country could kill other countries with nukes. But if Russia or China were to launch a nuke at the US, our nukes would be launched before theirs landed. Same with any other country with access to nuclear weapons. Nowadays there are no winners when it comes to nukes... You destroy us we destroy you lol. Our main problem with Russia and China is their overwhelming numbers. Remember, we watched Russia throw troops at the Germans until they eventually overtook them. They lost like what, 10 million to the axis? Germans lost like 4 million troops during the entire war. Lol

N. Korean citizen (03/16/2012) [-] exact opposite, actually. more reps leads to greater hypertrophy, with higher endurance but less strength. and from what i understand getting the proper timing on protein intake is mostly negligible, but that you should constantly have about 1g of protein / kg bodyweight daily. something with simple carbohydrates would be more important before exercise of sports for the readily available energy. also, the amount of rest you need to give your muscles depends on your level of fitness, actually. beginners can get away working the same muscles every day to two days, while professionals have to have weeks to months off to avoid overtraining. #158

N. Korean citizen (03/16/2012) [-] my limited knowledge is from reading the internet-famous "starting strength" on a whim. i poked around to find the argument i was familiar with: "You’ll gain size on anything from 1-12 reps. At the lower end of the rep range (with a corresponding increase of weight, of course), you get myofibrillar hypertrophy, which is size increase due to your muscles fibers (the contractile tissue itself) increasing in cross section. It provides a more … dense look. The 10-12 rep range is traditionally the “bodybuilding” range, which results in sarcoplasmic hypertrophy, or size increase due to greater stores of water & glycogen. Size increase is a little easier to come by in this rep range, but for a given muscle size, you won’t be as strong as if you keep to 6-8 reps. Sarcoplasmic hypertrophy tends to look a little bit puffier." as long as you do sets *to exhaustion* you'll gain muscle mass. if your goal is strictly aesthetic, such as body building, then doing more reps is the better choice. #184

shockerlocker (03/16/2012) [-] You're right, increase the weight some and stay in the 8-12 rep range for most workouts, Arnold suggests moving to the 12-15 rep range for legs, but again that all preference. When it comes to cardio, stick with 4-5x a week doing HIIT intervals instead of the conventional long distance running, if you can't do HIIt right away build to it or just stick with long distance cardio, a lot of pros, including Dorian Yates, still run distance over the HIIT. A good book to look at would be The New Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding. It is a little dated, but Arnold talks about doing the exact same thing in his book that you would like to do an much more, so I'd say check it out, other than that go to the gym, talk to people, I have an Old School Gym near me where the guy used to be a bodybuilder, so I got a lot of my stuff from him too.

MCmc (03/16/2012) [-] bench, decline bench, pull downs for triceps, curls for biceps, fly's. then tons of dips and push ups. Drink a protein shake immediately after each workout (30 mins). and i would only work each body part once or twice a week. pretty standard stuff, does that help? (i'm no expert, just personal opinion) #151
