Yeh america is the more successful colony and britain has more to do with america politically since they are a superpower now. But in terms of culture I think america has moved away from british ways more than Australia or canada. In Australia we like british comedy and tv, british comedians do very well here, we would never have thrown tea in the harbour, we use metric system and use the english dictionary. It only makes sense because Australia is a younger colony than america and we never claimed independance from gb.

We have the BBC, which shows Top Gear.

What other British channels are there?
User avatar #72 - turkeyslapper (04/20/2015) [-]
Yeh bbc is all there is i think. America tends to make american adaptations of british tv shows. Australian tv doesn't do as much although we did make an aussie version of top gear which sucked.

Lol I was just making the joke of asking what other British TV channels exist, implying no important ones do.

Korra tried that one for a while, I don't think it really did any good for her though.

it's a shame they don't make a new ff8 game or a remake... I don't hate ff8 and if they would've balanced and fixed the broken junction system I bet a lot of people wouldn't hate it so much. inb4 "I hate it because of weird plot" ... implying other ff games don't have weird or convenient plot! >

I'm planning on replaying ffx again.

I'm not sure I trust square with a remake or sequel at this point, they seem to have lost the magic they once had.

I replayed VIII on steam not too long ago, as I bought it on steam back when it was on sale. I really like the game, but it's hard to deny that it has it's issues, I can see what they were going for, but it could've been done better.

yeah another person pointed that out too. sorry my bad.

there is my one problem I have with new games in same genre. always a new name to be learned to a new level, magic or summon system. I'm gonna use my GF! you're girlfriend? NO my guardian force dummy! oh.
#125 - mcderpalds (04/11/2015) [-]
Yeah, I understand that, it can be easily confused and I wasn't trying to point it out to make you feel bad or anything, just throwing it out there. I loved these games when I were younger and remember having a lot of fun with X some years back, so I guess a lot of it sticks out as pretty memorable to me.

That said GF is probably the most unique term they've used for summons and such yet. Can't see them bringing that back for anything but a direct sequel, which is already extremely unlikely.
