What got me past that was making a set of blangonga armour specifically for shen. it makes it so that you don't shake everytime he takes a step so you can get a LOT more damage in. Just wait for dual monoblos, that quest alone stopped me from playing for a couple months.

I beat shen once, but the second time he seems harder, especially since he attack the second fortress. It's fine with the long path he has to take with the first fortress, but there just isn't time with the second. Although, thanks for the tip with the blongonga armour, I'll give that a try
