actually, money is probably the one thing they're not lacking. the dear leader could theoretically pay for a movie himself.

You raise a fair point, to be honest with you, but I am talking hypothetically. At the end of the day, it's just the opinion of a guy on the internet

You do raise a fair point, I have contradicted myself, also I do agree with you on most parts, but at the bare bones of it, it is a satirical film poking fun at an already unstable environment in NK. With a leader who already has a grudge with the US (nay the entire world) i'm just stating an opinion on the fact that I believe if this was reversed, it would not be as well received.
User avatar #67 - mauerman (22 hours ago) [-]
There's just that, the reverse thing isn't possible. NK can't make a succesful movie about assassinating an American president, they just don't have the actors/money/willpower.

What I'm saying is, NK is irrelevant. Make fun of them, that's the only thing to do that makes sense.

Not sure if you're trolling but i'll reiterate anyway.
Please re-read the last line, "I am not defending North Korea in any way shape or form"
User avatar #60 - mauerman (22 hours ago) [-]
That's why I asked. The last line contradicts the entire statement.

North Korea is a horrible country, where the leader is a fat, spoiled dictator and no one has any kind of rights.

The regime in NK must perish, and the movie is a wonderful way to do that.

You can't compare NK to USA, they have a functioning government. Kim Jong-Un is only the leader of NK because of his grandfather, and the fact that you wrote the comment proves that you think of NK as any other nation.

Den bedste accent ;) vi taler egentlig det nordjyske sprog hernede, men med en renere udtale. men det lyder nu bedst med dialekt

Well, we can't ban people from thinking/believing in Creationism (at least not here in the States), but we can (and should) ban it from public schools. I don't want my tax dollars going to fund such utter backward drivel. Evolution has mountains of evidence and only the willfully ignorant or deluded think otherwise. Brainwashing our kids with this kind of unscientific nonsense will leave us impotent when it comes to raising intelligent minds that will lead us into the future.
Your opinion might be unpopular, but I totally agree with it.

I really appreciate it. I am kind of used to getting shot down because of my opinions, and it's hard.

Which is why I thought I'd say hello. I figure some jerk is going to mention fedoras, which is ******** in my opinion. We can't tell people what to believe, but we can call them idiots. Free speech means we get to be assholes! Which is a good thing, sometimes assholes have a point.
This issue is rather near and dear to my heart, because here in the US, Creationism has tried multiple times to infect public education (and my state even had it in public schools for a while, so embarrassing). I also went to a private school where I had to pretend to agree in Creationism, despite my convictions.
I try hard to remember that not all Christians are close minded fools, but it is sometimes difficult when the biggest impediments to progress are often done in the name of God.
User avatar #7 to #6 - mauerman ONLINE (04/11/2014) [-]
It's weird to listen to that, coming from Denmark.
Over here, almost the entire native population is what we have come to call "Tradition-Christian" meaning that we get Christened, get Confirmated (some renounce their beliefs and call it a Nonfirmation), usually get married in church, and have a funeral in the church. But almost no one goes to church on sundays. In the general public at least. Many do attend on Christmas Eve. But that's it.

Every country has its problems, ours just happen to be religious nutters. Also gun nuts.
