you said "americans dont really drink tea"

to this i replied "holy fucknuts are you wrong etc." disregarding the part about that spot belonging to coffee

i see that you might have been trying to say "actually op, americans dont drink as much tea as most other countries, the top spot here belongs to coffee."

the problem here is what you were trying to say and what you said were two different things. those words in that context were interpreted by i and the rest of the people commenting about how americans like tea as "actually op, in america tea is not a very common drink, here coffee would take its place as the beverage of choice."

this is why i and others disagreed. because tea is actually a very common drink here, although not as much so in some areas of the country such as new york

i also see that you might think i was jumping on your ass about it by the amount of exclamatory words i used in my first post, but i was just doing that because i think its funny and it usually gets a positive response. all i was trying to say was that americans do drink tea, and in some places ,such as south western louisiana, people will even give you dirty looks and speak up if you say you dont like it, the same goes for many other products enjoyed by many people and i gave you a little story about what happened to me at american eagle.

wasnt supposed to be a debate, just letting you know that people do like tea here, but i admit the swearing probably antagonized you a little and sorry but thats just how i usually talk

holy fucknuts are you wrong

i live in south western louisiana and dear fucking god if you dont like sweet tea you better keep your goddamn mouth shut or your foot to ass ratio will shoot up like a dick in a titty bar

the same goes for crawfish, boudin, gumbo, jumbalaya, popeyes chicken, and mother fucking tony chachere's

dont get me wrong those are all handmade gifts from god above, but shit if you even mutter that you might not think those are the greatest things on earth you might have about twenty people in american eagle silently staring at you until someone finally says "wait, you dont like popeyes? are you fucking crazy?" and then you have to calmly explain to everyone that you just felt like eating chic fil a today instead and you still love popeyes
User avatar #113 - graydiggy (02/19/2013) [-]
I live here in LA as well... I can agree with you 100%. I personally don't have a taste for Boudin, and people let me know how upset they are with that information.

But, I will eat my weight in crawfish and gumbo.
#89 - mattmanhemi (02/19/2013) [-]
i really dont feel like debating you .go to new York and say you drink tea over coffee. its even written in text books that Americans drank coffee over tea in 1770 when tea was taxed. coffee is still sold more then tea all over united states because of that

www.funnyjunk.com/funny_pictures/4059062/How+to+end+the+shitstorm+pt.2 i got post back after what my black son said was a bug. you said it would be hard to tell what was sfw and what was not, right? well i want to make it where before you post a comment you have to click a "nsfw" button that would make it so you can only view with an account, over 18 on a separate page with out ads
#10 to #9 - egotistical (08/31/2012) [-]
In theory, thats all fine and dandy, but the recognition of NSFW is what i'm talking about in the first place... I know what your idea is, but to implement would be tough. Not a waste of time, just tough. The recognition of the image is the obstacle... it's all about the "Is this image nsfw or not"
User avatar #11 to #10 - mattmanhemi (08/31/2012) [-]
i might understand what you are talking about. if someone posted an image that was not filed under NSFW and it was inappropriate, users should report it and they should be banned. but if someone posted an image that was labeled nsfw and it turns out the image wasnt nsfw, then what ever it never hurt anyone.
#12 to #11 - egotistical (08/31/2012) [-]
/facepalm, damnit, i'm an idiot... I forgot the image you posted on your frontpage post, where you have a serial box checker, sort of like "post as anonymous", but it's "post as nsfw".... yeah, that would work easily into a javascript I have in mind....... as a further extension of that idea, if you post as nsfw, you can also roll porn... that's always a thought. That also uses the honor system though.. you'd have to look at a way of preventing people from abusing the system.
