OP didn't bother to mention this but in Obama's speech about it he fully acknowledged that mental health is a big aspect and he's going to push for better healthcare in schools and stuff. OP only focused on the gun law changes.

The reason I feel so strongly about this issue is because Connecticut is far too close to home in order for me to feel at all comfortable. As well as that, I know exactly how it feels to lose a beloved family member. I lost my three year old cousin last year, so the issue does not sit well in my stomach.
As well as that, I also do not enjoy jokes about dead children/babies. Perhaps it's the sensitivity in me.

If you don't enjoy said jokes. Then why do you take the time to formulate such an angry response? It just seems like a waste of time to me. Sorry about your cousin, don't think that I'm heartless, but I guess I just have a somewhat negative view on the world.
