| There is no sufficient proof that most medieval armor was black. In paintings where it is black, it also often depicts ALL metal things to be black, it will also show all armor as black whether it is a king or levy. Paintings also show armor as sky blue, dark blue, brown, white, skin-tone, gold, or even red, again, regardless of status of the person. Because of this, paintings cannot be trusted. Extant examples do not hint towards most armor being black. The current belief held by experts is that a white finish was the norm, and that particularly poor soldiers would have rough from the hammer (which is not black) armor, which would often be painted. So unless you are going to sit there and tell me that you know better than the Authenticity Committee for the HMBIA, or Dr. Tobias freaking Capwell, then no, armor was not "almost exclusively black" Give me a pic of what you mean by full plate. Because full plate did not devolve into jousting and decorative pieces until the low-mid 1500, almost over a century after full plate arriving on the scene. | ||

| It seems that it forcefully comes with Eye headset (the only thing people wanted to buy), Headphones, 2 analog sticks and 2 games. The headphones are something like $200 and the 2 games are ~$60 or so each (I got this from reading some of the random articles on what comes with). If they sold the Eye headset alone it would be way better since most Earphones now a days has the 3D surround or you can even use a program like Razer Surround to simulate something close to it. I just want to play Euro Truck Simulator 2. #9 -
anon (01/12/2016) [-] >miniaturized custom oled high density screens >tons of cutting edge tech >literally first real modern VR >$599 >People complain that it's too expensive Are you niggers fucking serious? The dev kits weren't sold at a profit though. They were probably sold at a loss to entice developers to make content so they can promote sales #28 -
captaincapital (01/12/2016) [-] >actually believing what the rabbis are telling you the company would've shut down instantly if they had to sell those at a loss Not really, it's just gonna set the Oculus back. There's, like, 5 different VR sets in development right now and every single one of them could make 'It's cheaper than the Oculus' one of their selling points now. I honestly think it will be difficult to match or beat the Oculus without major hardware compromises. The HTC Vive is more or less confirmed to be more expensive, though they have a bit sharper tech. I'd be surprised if it ships for under $800. The morpheus is still sort of a wildcard. Sure, it's for PS4 so they should price it to appeal to the console market, but a lot of factors remain unknown. Like the specs of the external GPU they've included to boost preformance. The Star VR is probably too ambitious with 4k and 210 degrees FOV in order to run on any system at a decent FPS. Apart from that I'm not sure, someone wil probably undercut Oculus, though I really don't think the Rifts pricetag is uncalled for.

| "armor was almost never shinning like this, but was almost exclusively black." Naw. The old paintings show armor was black because the silver pigment in the paint oxidizes over time, and silver oxide is black. We can observe from extant examples, when you look at that parts that have not been polished using non-archival means, that they were not black even most of the time. Also, what do you consider full plate? Most agree that full plate became common early 1400s, and in that case plate armor had a century of common use before it started to be "almost never used". Do you consider "full plate" to be when the armor has plate even on the insides of the elbows and knees? To counter on the first point i was referencing the blackening of armor done as a rust inhibitor. The more well off suit owners could afford someone to care for the armor to keep it in pristine condition but for a standard solider or lower to mid level knight who might only have a squire to aid him would coat his armor for protection. Also the plate armor i was referring to was the common use of intricate armor like the romanticized images associated with armor. While technically it's been around since the 1300's it peaks around the 1500's, it mostly devolves into jousting and decorative pieces, although it was used until the 1700's i guess. Because of this, paintings cannot be trusted. raisinbeuponhim (01/12/2016) [-] Looks like a tiger python to me. Thouse fuckers have a extremly nasty hurtin' bite. Hundrets of little tiny teeth - like scalpel teeth pointed backwards to dig into the flesh. It's going to be a bitch to remove it's head from her face and the removing itself will hurt even more than the bite itself. #39 -
StealerShock (01/12/2016) [-] No such thing as a tiger python. If you mean a tiger reticulated python, then you're still wrong, because that doesn't look like a tiger to me. Could be a retic, but not sure which locality/morph. I had a python, small ball python, obviously not that big. His bites hurt a little bit, but not much.... He bit me in the hand twice (hunger, I presume) and it never hurt that bad. Of course, that looked to be a boa (could be wrong) so I can't say for sure with them... But in the face it would definitely hurt, but I think a lot of people over exaggerate snake bites from smaller snakes. That snake wasn't huge either. Considering you didn't see much of her face at all and that everyone remained relatively calm; It's quite bold to state that people overexaggerate when they get bitten by "smaller snakes". Plus, no animal needs to be "big" to deliver lethal amounts of venom. Considering that they would propose a greater threat to us as a species a few thousand years ago than today, it would be quite retarded not to recoil when bitten by them.

blackmageewizardt (01/12/2016) [-] "cool force tricks" not sure, but stoping Plasma bolts in mid air is already above shitty jedi trickery. Last time bullshit like that happend, Darth Sidious threw Yoda entire Parlament seats onto the head. Or if we go further back, when an certain bitch sith Lord tried to slice me open with 3 lightsabers at once, who flew in mid air. (Picture related) But i agree, that Boy is just like Anakin back their an storm of emotions that can barrely be kept under control. I guess that´s the reason why Luke couldn´t help this idiot, his emotional power stoped him from finding peace, even though the "light side calls for him", making him an weak Jedi. But raw and very well sated emotional strenght? That´s something the Sith prever.

| "you just need to do sports to get ripped" "pics or you talking shit" you know how sports n stuff works right? go run -> get legs do push ups -> get arms why you need proof for that? technically he is right tho you can easily can jacked enough with your own body weight source: im kinda jacked ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) the amount of shit people are talkin is utterly insane do push ups with one arm -> pretty fuckin much weight same thing for legs and so on...there is really much you can do without goin to gym, just do it right im visiting a gym im like 93 kg i dont have all the time in the world so sometimes im training at home i can just say, you didnt ever try and make up shit on the internet you wont get a schwarznegger body yeah...but that wasnt the point to begin with look at some gymnasts and how ripped they are i really doubt all of em visit gyms depends on your goals i suppose, but the fact remains, that bodyweight only training is limited, and you will hit that plateau at some point. the best way is to include both lifting and bodyweight along with cardio routines. that is what will get you visual aswell as functional results. without ANY sort of equipment, i just don't see how that would be possible. correct. but that is what i am not pertaining to walking daily makes your feet/leg jacked, some other activities does thatt do it enables you to carry more things a sleuth vs someone who jogs everyday, the jogger would have more leg strength than the former you are completely correct. both should be equal nonetheless stamina to strength-wise the jogger's strength will increase very little tho. that is what i am pointing out, that simple things will increase your strength in low levels | ||
