mateusdefaria (03/31/2012) [-] In Brazil it's tougher to get guns, but they allow full auto, sometimes retired military or former rebel used weapons that retailers just find and resell. I had a Norinco Type 56-2 with the bayonet, a Russian AKM with a grenade launcher, and a PKM to name a few, costing (in dollars) thousands. All of these were fully automatic, and more. Not helping was my psychological record from when I was a military police officer. So it ended up staying in Brazil in two different homes in two different cities (Brasilia and Rio de Janeiro). I had my Norinco and all my pistols in Rio. A few months after I left, my cousin (who got my house there) was robbed. Those fucking Favela dogs took all my guns. Luckily my cousin was at a party and wasn't harmed. I still have the PKM, AKM, and two AKS-47s with their barrels shortened (with muzzle brakes to keep the law mandated barrel length) in Brasilia. But I never have time to shoot them when I go back. They're basically my uncle's. | ||

Jewssassin (03/31/2012) [-] Well things I would like to own are mostly .308 battle rifles M1A AR-10 PTR-91 or CETME MK17 SVT-40 Gotta agree with you on the 1911, its just such a sexy gun and Dat .45 ACP. Shit I need to make a separate folder in my /k/ folder for 1911s. I would also love a Garand, but to be honest, Ive only shot .22s and I only own one gun, a Savage Mark-II. In several months Ill have an outstanding debt paid off, then Ill buy a gun safe, then a Nugget, an SKS, then start on the Battle Rifles starting with the M1A. #277

mateusdefaria (03/31/2012) [-] .22s just try out some 5.56 or a 5.45 AK-74 at the range, then try the 7.62. I suggest getting guns like the Garand first. They're more expensive. Save up, that away when you start buying the next rifles - it'll be easier on a budget. That's how I did it in Brazil, I had a few Kalashnikovs and a few pistols. It took a decade to complete the glorious collection. All lost when I came here. All of it. Now I have a little PB pistol... not the same one but we have memories.... MFW they told me I couldn't bring the weapons. #290

mateusdefaria (03/31/2012) [-] You got me, I'm from a magical place. And oh gosh, why would they do that? Why would they just abuse the shit out of that poor Garand? Don't see many /k/ommandos on Funnyjunk. What about some of your SERIOUS favorites? Mine: SKS MPi-KMS-2 (The German AKMS) M92 Krinkov tacticooled and the M1911, because who doesn't? Also the PB pistol, first gun I ever shot and I loved it since. #272
