| the orginal arguement is based on general items that affect everyone, not your own personal problems. not everybody has a dystfunctional family or struggles for a job, i am argueing on points that arent personal such as free uni and railcards. you have no idea what my personal life is like and im not gonna tell you, because im not gonna try winning an arguement based on whose got a shittier family. imagine your situation of dysfunctional family and no job (which i also have trouble getting even though you seemingly assumed otherwise) WITH debt from age 18 like me. where even if i get a job. if it pays well i instantly get money deducted every fucking month by the government to pay off my debt, so Im either on a shit wage, or im on a massively deducted wage. AND if i want to get a higher degree? a bachelors? HA ok yeah ill just have to take out another 4grand loan for another year or 2. but fuck me do i sleep soundly knowing ill never have to pay 90 quid a month for that. even though the prices for railcards are rising every year so ill be paying the same soon enough too. Well apologies if you interpreted this as me being a bitch and attention seeking (to be fair it does sound like it) but I am just really stressed today since I was stranded in Aberdeen for while and maybe slightly freaked the fuck out. Anyhow, I was just merely having a chit chat with this American chap and comparing our public transport, not trying to be like "ohh boo hoo look at me I pay outrageous amounts on transport" Also, quick question; wouldn't it be cheaper to move up here to study? I mean the rent here is actually quite cheap in some places? | Stagecoach doesn't sound very American to me, I think I found the reason for your overly expensive public transportation. It's Scottish. The reason it's so expensive is because our government is absolute cancer. Luckily my College bursary just covers most of my bus fares. youre scottish so you have free fucking university i think you can cope with 90 quid a month if its such a burden for you ill swap, give me your 90 quid a month and free uni ill give you my cheaper bus/rail pass (40 per month) and you can pay my 9 grand student loan off Yeah, you can swap. | I mean, it is pretty cheap. A month pass for my city bus/lightrail/monorail is about $30. That's pretty cheap, if you're using it everyday. wow i didnt realise kids these days all come from your part of your country. I have a Unirider for Stagecoach and that's £90 a month (which is $137) an d I can only use Stagecoach buses to get in and out the city, and this excluded everything else like train or any other bus company Stagecoach doesn't sound very American to me, I think I found the reason for your overly expensive public transportation.
