While I kind of agree, if you've got a religious reasons not to eat pork and you're at a BUFFET and just start stuffing your face with unidentified meat, then the results are still your fault.

Still, even if it wasn't OP's fault, he definitely had an opportunity to be a decent, tolerant person who realizes that people makes mistakes and actually do a good deed that day.

It's a dick move to not learn English when you go to a buffet

Oooor not to learn English when you come to America for that fact.

To be fair, a lot of Americans go to other countries without learning their language.

There's a big difference between visiting a country and living in a country.

To give you a clue, I'm from San Diego.

To give you a fact, signs in super markets usually have English as a subtitle to Spanish.

Just sayin' I'm a bit bitter on the subject.

One of my best friend used to be involved in the local mexican gang but he got out. We'll call him Pedro. His cousin is an orphan who lives with Pedro and is 3 years younger, one night Pedro got a phone call from his sister saying that the cousin had gotten involved with the gang and was supposed to sell drugs for them, but wasn't able to meet his quota. The gang had told him to meet him at their house, and he'd gone, but the sister knew that he would be killed. Pedro didn't have his car so he needed me to drive him there. He made me stop 3 blocks away, got out of my car, and told me to leave and not look back. He somehow convinced the gang to not fuck up his cousin. About a week later he got another call from his sister, and he left my friend's house immediately. 2 hours after that we heard a knock on the door, it was Pedro, standing on the doorstep not making a sound, tears running down his face. We brought him inside, and tried to find out what happened. All he could choke out was "they took him." The gang had broken into Pedro's families house and kidnapped his cousin. I have never felt such powerful emotions in my life. I can't describe how I felt, and I can't even imagine how he felt.
When I woke up the next morning Pedro was gone. We later found out that he had gone to get his cousin back. I don't know the details but I do know that he somehow scared the gang enough that they haven't bothered him or his family since. And his cousin is on track to graduate high school this year.
I have never felt such respect for someone in my entire life. Pedro is my hero. Gang Violence is serious shit.
Wow I kinda got off track, but I like sharing that story.
