That's what I was thinking. Must have more to do with the CSS of the page, then.. Unless they're doing something ridiculously complicated with HTML for some reason. Might be that they're trying to make it completely accessible on all platforms, also.

What kinds of problems with the site?
User avatar #18 - masdercheef (07/11/2014) [-]
In Kazerad's own words, it "breaks". For example, the latest notification reads "6/21/14: Upgrading some stuff on the website. It might break for a little while."

Not exactly sure what goes wrong, to be entirely honest. I've always encountered it in working condition, to my knowledge.

When you have only two options, then choosing the lesser of two evils technically isn't unethical because you are defending utilitarianism.

You seem to have quite a disregard for Israel's actions. Have you considered the other side of the coin? HAMAS, Israel's current primary enemy, is a well-known terrorist organization that gained legitimacy by forcefully settling the Gaza Strip and then being allowed to stay by nations that had a sideline involvement at best. They consistently plan and execute attacks into Israel, most of them indiscriminate strikes that kill civilians more often than soldiers, sometimes even their own people, Muslims that have settled in Gaza and work in Israel. Israel attacks with coordinated, selective attacks into Gaza on military targets. These attacks can be difficult because HAMAS loves to hide within their own populace, basically using human shields. Now tell me: Why do you make no mention of these atrocities committed by HAMAS? Especially when compared to the careful, coordinated actions of the IDF? Look at the latest trouble: A number of Israeli teenagers were abducted and murdered by Muslim extremists. A couple Arab teens were attacked as a result by Israeli civilians. Those attackers were apprehended by Israeli authorities are are being tried for their crimes. HAMAS is once again screaming about the Terror the IDF is spreading, while the truth is exactly the opposite.

Ever heard the expression "One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter"?

I never said that I don't recognize HAMAS. But you do realize the reason for HAMAS's existence in the first place? When you have a strip of thousands of civilians with no organized military, you are going to get attacked by loosely organized bands of "terrorists" that will try to defend themselves from your oppressive state.

And I still have never heard one reason that shows me how killing civilians is justified when a terrorist attacks you. It makes no logical sense. It's like a man in a red shirt punching me and then I kick another person who also just happens to be wearing the red shirt.

You also make an extremely good point there.

The only unfortunate thing about that is the fact that it's phrased "technically isn't unethical". Meaning, there most likely will always be people who say it's wrong no matter what, who refuse to see it as "better than what could have happened".
