Whereas I don't agree with the exact way he put it, I do agree with him in that I happen to hate those people who make the rest of the community (in these case black people) look bad. In my opinion, it is because of them that some people get shit on their daily lives, and that's what irritates me the most (I know, don't hate the race, hate the racist, but you gotta see the evil in both sides). Standard, decent people get standard decency, and walking stereotypes with irritating habits and no self awareness get dumped on.  I'm 100% with you. The word "nigger" is such a fucking edgy word. I remember using it on Xbox Live when I was 13 and thinking I was cool and educated on the edgy shit. It's just a stupid thing people go through where they can't fit in, so they try to fit in with others, but try and justify it in their conscious by saying "I totally don't mean this incredibly racist and offensive term to all of those people that it applies to (see: racial slurs), I totally just mean THESE." You know what I call bad black people? Douchebags. You know what I call bad white people? Douchebags. To segregate douchebags based off color IS racist. People need to realize that. Douchebags are douchebags regardless of skin color. To point out someone's skin color in a completely non-related way (character has nothing to do with skin, so therefor pointing out their skin is racist/discriminatory) is to be a douchebag. #129 -

ygdosst (05/23/2015) [-]  It's not hard to see someone that hates the worst of a certain group, but attaches that negative mental prototype to the whole group. It's an natural instictual mental process. If someone matches the stereotype, we hate them. And more importantly have reason to. If they don't, and they exceed this encredibly low bar that we set, then we don't. It's just Social Pessimism: it's assuming that people that you don't know are going to be the worst of the group they appear to be and usually results in pleasant surprises with anyone you get to know. It may sound unhealthy, but the Optimist is a lot more likely to get a cap popped in him or Allahu Akbar'd, in the one rare instance where they guy they meet just happens to be the worst of the worst negative stereotype they weren't expecting like the Pessimist. | ||
