oh man there's so much wrong with what you've just said.
You srsly consider what you did in Iraq stabalising? More like ensuring Iraq continues to sell their oil in US dollars along with other nefarious geopolitical aims, none of which help the American people.
Your country is a corporate mecca and the only reason you spend so much of your taxes on military hardware is because it fills the pockets of powerful CEOs.
Your social welfare system sucks and you're all brainwashed into believing that's how it should be and that your soldiers defend your freedumb & yada yada yada. Your country is pathetic.

At waging war we have no equal. The enemy we are fighting is different from the ones we've faced before. There are no front lines , no leader to capture , or main bunker to destroy. What we have been doing since 91 is to maintain stability ( which is pretty fuckin difficult to do considering how the french and Brits left the middle east as a powder kegen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sykes%E2%80%93Picot_Agreement ). All that oil people say we are killing for , most of it goes to Europe . I'd like to see Europe stabilize countries that they are reliant upon for oil. We do it because if not us then who ? The Russians ? The Chinese ?

What we need is a wholly unified world, all people, under one flag, respectful and proud of what sets soje apart from others at the same time. We need to work for the betterment of the human race, not just the progression of a single nation

Yet people say it's none of our business to interfere in the affairs of areas stricken by war and genocide, forgetting the fact that a peaceful life without fear of oppression and destruction is the right of all men, women, and children on this planet, regardless of religion, race, or nationality. What we do, when we march into an area to liberate it from war criminals, is for the good of the human race. People said we had no business worrying about Syria, or Iraq, but any historian will tell you, when the warning signs of total war are there, you must act without hesitation, or face the possibility of total destruction. If we had ignored the intel coming out of Iraq that said they did have weapons and were prepared to attack us with them, and it had turned out to be true, how could we ever forgive ourselves for doing so? We went in, ready to defend he free world, as we always have, and liberated an entire nation from a ruthless madman. How could anybody say Iraq was better off with Saddam?

First off, I like your post. But there are some things I would like to point out...

The atomic bomb was not forced upon you. The US Government purposely built it, maybe not for the purpose of attacking, but saying you never asked for it, is not true. Well maybe YOU didn't ask for it, but your government did. You DID ask for the power, it was NOT forced on you.
#14 - markusantonius (12/12/2013) [-]
I wasn't referring to the bomb . At the end of the war , who was left that could stand up to the power hungry soviet union ? As a new super power , it became our duty to pretty much become global police . I doubt many people would have preferred the soviets running the whole show. During the 90's when Europe was in good shape , who had to come in Yugoslavia(at the time in which it was called that) and end a genocide ? When the serbs started up with their ethnic cleansing again , we wasted no time waiting for the Europeans to intervened. Sure , they now have that EU strike force now but will they truly be able to prevent future crisis in their current state? The only way Europe can truly resolve security issues withen the continent is if the EU becomes more integrated with the Eu parliament being the most power legislative force . Once Europe gets its act together , that'll be 100,000 troops we can use elswhere and possibly send home . I have seen the writing on the wall eventually if europe wants its oil , instead of relying on the U.S to maintain security and order in the middle east , it will have to do it itself and good luck dealing with the chinese. Many think the era of American dominance is setting but withen 15 years. Not only will this increase our wealth but our global power as well . Right now the Saudi Arabia is incredibly powerful politically thats why we spend so much time and recources over there. Now imagine the U.S with an oil output exceeding the saudies , combine with our already massice economy , and military . Paxa American aint over , this is where it gets stronger.
