Sounds amazing. Though I still have no idea what's going on.
How does one study a type of economics?
Well I know that I want to study macroeconomics over micro. Micro is gay.

As for job satisfaction I want money. That's why I plan to work for the government. Because it's tax payer money and all. They just throw it away by the tons! Not to mention health benefits. Either way. I want to work for the Department of Defense, the DOD is a great place to build a career.

Of course everyone's version of happiness is different.
I want to be an economist. I know that much.
Anyways I'm happy for you. That's awesome. I'm pretty stupid so I'm not even sure that I can do it. Kudos to you.

So the math isn't incredibly hard? Math is my worse subject.
I love it.

Anyways. I'm really confused. Right now I have 2 years for an associates, but don't know if I can study economics, currently I'm in enrolled in a business program. But I don't want to work on an MBA I want to work on a doctorate in economics.

Any ideas? On where I should start?
I was planning on asking whoever I could find tomorrow at my college.

Microeconomics is the most pertinent to daily life and will give you a good grasp on what economics is. It's also pretty much advised to take micro before macro anyway. You will be able to take an economics, colleges offer economics as one of the options to satisfy Social Science requirements.

Even if the money is a deciding factor for you, take in mind the fact that you are pursuing something that'll you'll likely do for the rest of your working career. One of my favorite professors was a banker for 20 years and made over 120k a year, but he hated it. Now he teaches and makes less than half of what he used to, but his job satisfaction is higher. A big topic in economics is weighing the opportunity costs (look it up) of your actions. Don't go into college thinking you know what you want to do, it's good to have a plan, but your first year should be where you do some soul searching. When I started college I wanted to be a marine biologist, but after my second year my goals had changed and I pursued economics.

If you want to one day have PhD in economics you'll first need a B.A, or B.S so for now don't even focus on that. And on top of that, your B,A(S) would have to align with what you want to do in graduate school. So if you want to be an economist, you'll probably need to major in either political science or economics then go on to grad school.

The math in micro and macroeconomics is pretty simple. To get a degree though, you'll have to take a few math courses. For mine, I had to take statistics and two calcs. Ultimately, the amount of math you take depends on the state and university but generally even if you pursued a B.A in econ you're likely required to take a statistics and a calculus.

Well actually I'm already in macro. I don't care much about micro since I'm more of a big picture kind of guy, but I'm sure I'll be interested in learning it when the time comes. I definitely won't specialize in it though.

As for the rest of my life I couldn't say. My ambition is limitless, but yes, I definitely want to be an economist. Money is a huge factor for me. To me it's the same as happiness. Like I always say, freedom isn't free but it is for sale. You can buy anything with money even life. I'll find a way to both make money and enjoy my work. That's a great life goal I think.

Anyways I know exactly what I want to do. It took me about 3 weeks to figure it out. I don't want to study business. I want to study economics.

I suppose I'm not like most people. I've always known what I've wanted, but never had a path to get there. I finally found mine. I can feel it. It excites my soul and radiates in my blood.

Anyways yeah. I suppose I'm just going to go the economist route.
I talked to an advisor too and he helped me with my classes.
I'm going to go for a general associates with an emphasis on economics classes and perquisites.

I'll take some extra classes, take as many classes as I can and the summer and just get going.
Yeah the math seems pretty hard, so I'm going to start teaching and preparing myself now.

My biggest problem (as always) is money. I only have money for 2 years so I'm going to take as many classes as possible. Then I'm probably going to have to work full time and nearly kill myself trying to go to school to complete my bachelors. Once I have that I'll have better job opportunities. After that, I'll work towards a doctorate.

Anyways, since I'm starting out, typically, what classes are required for econ?
Sorry if I'm being a bother, but a list would be very helpful.

Well every state has a list of prerequisites that have to be met before you can get a degree (Associates, B.A, B.S, etc) so if you know what degree you want at what University, than go to their website navigate to the degree and then match them to what you can take at community college.

My advice on classes to take and pay the most attention to, are: Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, Calculus, Political Science, Personal Finance, and Marketing.
Also since you're in community college, take advantage of the fact that your professor has a lot more time to pay attention to your educational needs and are far more inclined to help you where you struggle. Take all the hardest classes you need at a University at your college, you'll save money and your professor actually gives a shit whether you pass or not.

What you're seeing here, is the Liberal ACADEMIA which most of these "Gamer Journalists" are either attending or graduating from the colleges they've spent time in to enter the Journalist Dream is that their motivations are now in the open and they're self destructing.

The Liberal ACADEMIA is a group of communist hippies who have infiltrated their way into colleges around the United States entering Liberal Arts, Media Studies, or any basis that studies ideologies, psychoanalysis, or trending pop culture. They grow like a tumor in these industries and that's why Hollywood is shit.

And because we caught them in the realm of Gaming, they're now trying to "SHUT IT DOWN" by claiming, games are dead, gamers are racist, homophobic, mysogynist, ablist, anti-furry otherkin brony hating yada yada yada.

What they don't realize, is no one gives a shit about them, and EA and many other gaming companies need to learn, that the average person doesn't give a shit about these radical liberalized ideals.

I hope they get AIDS.
